Quest: Ikky

To obtain this pet, players must first pick up the quest Ikky's Egg at:

/way #542 45.4 36.6 Ikky

Then complete the short quest chain that follows. Upon returning to the quest hub, Veil Terokk, players can complete the quest that will automatically teach the pet.

If Ikky's Egg is not available for you to pick up at the coordinates, you will need to complete a couple of prerequisites:

1. The Kaliri Whisperer

From jzkalika on Wowhead
If you're trying to do this quest without having made any progress in Spires of Arak yet, you actually have to do a few things:

-start the quest "The Shadows of Skettis" and do all of them in sequence until you've made it to the Veil Terokk flight point with Reshad (you'll know because the achievement "Shadows Gather" will complete)

-once you're in Veil Terokk, talk to the troll prisoner to free him

-once he's freed, he'll take you to your new outpost in Spires of Arak

-set up your outpost (choose between a tavern and a smuggler's den)

-once that's done, you'll see Percy at the entrance of your outpost with a basket and a quest

-take Percy's quest, which will take you back to Veil Terokk to talk to Reshad

2. Once you complete The Kaliri Whisperer, Ikky's Egg should have its quest available to you.

PvE
Ikky is an overpowered Bleed & Stampede glass cannon. Use it against something that needs to die fast. Against Boss single-pet targets, often use an Unborn Val'kyr first, then Ikky, then a nuke after Ikky dies.

Apply Black Claw to add damage to each hit, then Flock to deliver 9 hits. If Ikky and the target are still alive, Savage Talon twice to take advantage of Shattered Defenses.

Discussion: If you’re bringing out Ikky, you want to use the Black Claw/Flock combination to take down a pet quickly.

Flock hits an average of 3 times per round. Black Claw adds 136 to every hit. After the first round, Shattered Defences means that all damage is adds an extra 50%. This adds up to 3*188+3*265+3*316=2,307 damage even before any DoTs you already added.

A single Black Claw/Flock combination will often remove an enemy pet, and if it doesn’t, and if Ikky is still alive, a Savage Talon hit with Shattered Defences still up will usually finish the job.

For tougher cases, like Boss pets, it can be useful to add a Damage over Time effect first, whose effect is also doubled while Shattered Defences is active. Ikky is very often paired with the Unborn Val’kyr for this. The Val’kyr applies Curse of Doom, then Haunts the target. Ikky applies Black Claw and Flocks, doubling the damage from Haunt after the first round of Flock, and also doubling the damage from Curse of Doom when it hits.

See also Foulfeather for a similar but less-powerful equivalent. However, it is faster, and that could be useful in some case where getting the last round in after losing the Flying racial is important.
