I only had an H/H Empyreal and a P/P Empowered Manafiend levelled to 25. Both of them speed < 280. This strat still worked. Thank you!

So there were a few pets that I didn't have at lvl25, so I went with Lil' Bling 2-2-1, Pet Bombling 1-1-2, and Malfunctioning Microbot 1-1-2.
Started with Extra Plating, Make it Rain, and Inflation. Repeated Make it Rain and Inflation. Solo'd! Never needed the other pets.
