Substitutes:

1
Note: You have selected a substitute pet.
The strategy might fail if you use it with this pet instead of the one the strategy creator intended.

The substitute finder looks for these criteria in relation to the original pet:
  • Same family
  • Has the required skills
  • Has the required stats (if specified)
  • Ignores specific breed requirements for the main pet, as breeds can be very different for substitutes

RNG
Not every strategy can be bullet proof. This is one of them. You might have to restart it, since there are some random elements that increase the risk of your pets failing. Don't blame them, please!
This strategy is using pets obtainable from the Wow Trading Card Game (TCG) or the auction house for potentially high sums of gold.
This strategy is using pets obtainable only from the WoW In-Game Shop for Battle.net Balance or real money.
You can use this strategy to carry a low level pet to give it experience.
Some instructions are more difficult to follow than others. That's exactly what you might find in this strategy!
The strategy offers a Script that can be used with the Pet Battle Script addon. You can copy the script by clicking on the button to the left of the pets.
At least one pet in the strategy cannot be obtained anymore. If you have it, congrats!
A Strategy Curator found this strategy to be especially helpful and higlighted it with this tag to give it more exposure.
In Dragonflight Patch 10.2, the ability Time Bomb has been changed. This tag is marking strategies using Time Bomb so they can be reviewed.

So, the best way to negate the RNG here is to have a Raptor that is faster than Creakclank:

S/S Zandalari Anklerender
S/S Zandalari Kneebiter
S/S Zandalari Toenibbler (Though this one has no Hunting Party, so maybe Primal Cry then switch to Ikky?)
S/S Baby Zandalari Raptor (You'll probably need to switch to Ikky after Black Claw, I assume)

That said, when I brought in a fast raptor I lasted until round 10 with him in one of the iterations with this priority:

Priority 1: Keep Black Claw applied
Priority 2: Hunting Party on CD
Priority 3: Leap all else

With this I only needed to Quills with Ikky to finish off Creakclank, and Ikky never took any damage.

However, this fight is still going to be highly RNG-based, and could still fail even with a fast Raptor and the priority above. (edited)

This is not a viable strategy. Remove.

Absolutely nobody cares about a single claim of failure from someone who does not give details of what breeds they used, and exactly how the strategy failed.

I haven't tried this myself, but I'll have a look next time I'm there.

OK, so I had a look. I tried it three times, with an S/S and a P/P Anklerender. I lost twice, and while I won once, that battle did not go to plan.

This encounter has massive inherent RNG, since Creakclank's Demolish has a 50% hit chance, so the challenge in setting a strat is to create one that avoids the RNG. This strat doesn't. While the Valk soaks a lot of the RNG, ironically the bug in the double undead not-dying round that can give it an extra round is a problem here, since it wastes a round that we need to use before Creakclank's full-heal.

The battle can be done with these pets, but not reliably, and it will not often work out as the strat indicates. I was tempted to try to find a slightly more consistent sequence with the same team, but there are already many other, more reliable strats for this battle. I recommend it should get an RNG tag.
