Substitutes:

Note: You have selected a substitute pet.
The strategy might fail if you use it with this pet instead of the one the strategy creator intended.

The substitute finder looks for these criteria in relation to the original pet:
  • Same family
  • Has the required skills
  • Has the required stats (if specified)
  • Ignores specific breed requirements for the main pet, as breeds can be very different for substitutes

At least one of the pets for this strategy require the use of a specific breed.
Not every strategy can be bullet proof. This is one of them. You might have to restart it, since there are some random elements that increase the risk of your pets failing. Don't blame them, please!
This strategy is using pets obtainable from the Wow Trading Card Game (TCG) or the auction house for potentially high sums of gold.
This strategy is using pets obtainable only from the WoW In-Game Shop for Battle.net Balance or real money.
You can use this strategy to carry a low level pet to give it experience.
Some instructions are more difficult to follow than others. That's exactly what you might find in this strategy!
Script
The strategy offers a Script that can be used with the Pet Battle Script addon. You can copy the script by clicking on the button to the left of the pets.
At least one pet in the strategy cannot be obtained anymore. If you have it, congrats!

IMO the rounds/time to beat should reflect the longest amount of time it can take, not the shortest. Since there's a small hint of RNG in this one, the max ends up being around 13 rounds and 1:21

I understand that as an ideal, showing the longest and shortest possible times, but it isn't realistic.

First of all, quite a number of strats here and anywhere can fail if you are REALLY REALLY unlucky. In fact, a number of strats are vulnerable to just two crits in the right (wrong!) places - a 1 in 400 chance.

But beyond that, the only way to find the longest possible battle is to map out every possible result of each move - crits, misses, damage ranges, stuns, random first moves when speeds are equal, all of it - and do a brute force playthrough or simulation of every possibility. And we don't have any simulators, and certainly nothing that can simulate move and animation time.

It would be an insane expenditure of time for each creator or curator to calculate all possibilities, and I don't even want to think about how long it would take to keep repeating the battle hoping that the RNG produces exactly tha variant you're looking for to time it.

It doesn't have to use the S/S breed, you just have to shift when you use the Dodge from round 3 to round 2, which works out better, anyway, because then the CD is up for Flame Jet on Fiero.

Great edit to the strat. I changed the dodge out as you recommended and it was easy as pie. Eel had half health after killing both NPCs

Essere wrote on 2020-12-23 11:08:34

Just to confirm the validity of this change. Strategy worked well even with a H/B Slithershock. Thanks for the update.

I can see why you need an S/S Elver! Anyway, I had to other two "Elver's" of course, P/P and H/P and got through it.

Schori wrote on 2017-05-14 02:02:14

Pandaren Water Spirit easily solo'd with 1/2/2, likely similar outcome with 1/2/1.

So easy had Syd as back up but not even needed.
