Low XP
At least one of the pets for this strategy require the use of a specific breed.
Not every strategy can be bullet proof. This is one of them. You might have to restart it, since there are some random elements that increase the risk of your pets failing. Don't blame them, please!
This strategy is using pets obtainable from the Wow Trading Card Game (TCG) or the auction house for potentially high sums of gold.
This strategy is using pets obtainable only from the WoW In-Game Shop for Battle.net Balance or real money.
Level 1+
You can use this strategy to carry a low level pet to give it experience.
Some instructions are more difficult to follow than others. That's exactly what you might find in this strategy!
Script

I don't trust carrots. They always look like they are planning something...

I don't know why nothing worked for me so I wrote a script that did work for me. Let me know if it worked, or didn't work for you. DF 10.2.6. US realm.

if[enemy(Carrotus Maximus:1473).hp>427]
use(Wind-Up:459)[round~1,5]
use(Powerball:566)
endif
use(Explode:282)

worked like a charm - thank you

4-6 rounds on sim, 100% win rate. Tests good on all intro quest battles.
Using Windup on round 3 seems to be a sweet spot between success rate & fewest rounds:
use(Explode:282) [enemy.hp.can_be_exploded]
use(Wind-Up:459) [round~1,3]
use(#2)
(edited)

TD script

use(Explode:282) [enemy(Carrotus Maximus:1473).hp<427]
use(Explode:282) [enemy(Carrotus Maximus:1608).hp< 427]
use(Wind-Up:459) [round~1,5]
use(Powerball:566)

Added 2nd line with different Carrotus Maximus:1608 ID. (edited)

As of Pre-patch 9.0 this still works. Thank you for the script to streamline it. (edited)

I don't know what to tell you--it worked just fine for me (although I changed from the old unsupported add on to the new one suggested so maybe that's the issue) (edited)

This script doesn't work because it references Carrotus Maximus with ID 1473, rewriting the script in-game and it auto fills with an ID of 1608.

Try this:
use(Explode:282) [ enemy(Carrotus Maximus:1608).hp< 427 ]
use(Wind-Up:459) [ round~1,5 ]
use(Powerball:566)

Script worked for me with Carrotus Maximus with ID 1473. I am on NA server.

Same here, 1473 was the only way I found to get it to work right. Also on NA server. (edited)
