Breed
At least one of the pets for this strategy require the use of a specific breed.
Not every strategy can be bullet proof. This is one of them. You might have to restart it, since there are some random elements that increase the risk of your pets failing. Don't blame them, please!
This strategy is using pets obtainable from the Wow Trading Card Game (TCG) or the auction house for potentially high sums of gold.
This strategy is using pets obtainable only from the WoW In-Game Shop for Battle.net Balance or real money.
You can use this strategy to carry a low level pet to give it experience.
Some instructions are more difficult to follow than others. That's exactly what you might find in this strategy!
Script
The strategy offers a Script that can be used with the Pet Battle Script addon. You can copy the script by clicking on the button to the left of the pets.
At least one pet in the strategy cannot be obtained anymore. If you have it, congrats!
A Strategy Curator found this strategy to be especially helpful and higlighted it with this tag to give it more exposure.

Allow me to mention the ravenous prideling with disruption: it's the only pet that can remove enemy buffs and the one that absorbs all hits doing less than 500 damage is one of them! So you can use life exchange and disruption, since that will also do some damage and then use whatever pet you want to kill this, without the limitation of the 500+ damage per hit.

Amazing comment! I regret that I have only one like to give! :)

Anonymous wrote on 2015-12-29 23:15:43

Frostfur Rat
Sneak Attack
Crouch
Call Darkness

Open with Crouch
Darkness
Sneak Attack to easily win..

Sometimes RNG will make you miss some attacks, but any secondary pet that can hit hard will easily finish them.

I'm not sure: Is the Undead vulnerability added before his armour "test" or after it?
Because without that racial factor, a mentioned Sneak Attack can bypass the armour only with 3 out of 7 breeds.

Aranesh

That one has been answered! I got myself a H/H Frostfur Rat and tested it. It works just as well, the rat does 517 damage per hit (while Darkness is active). Meaning the undead racial is added to the damage before the test against Stitches armour buff.
I like the strategy, will add it to the alternatives :-) Thank you!

Works great. I even used a level 21 uncommon and still beat him with it.

To get that sweet ~400xp use a leveling pet that can take a hit, in slot 2

change(#2) [enemy.aura(Undead:242).exists]
standby [round=3]
use(Supercharge:208) [round=5]
use(Wind-Up:459)

Pretty simplified td battle script:

standby [self.round = 3]
ability(208) [self.round = 5]
ability(459)
change(#2)

You don't need 'self.' in front of the rounds for this battle, and if your IS is still alive on the undead round, you can just pass. Therefore:

standby [ round~3,7 ]
ability(#3) [ round=5 ]
ability(#1)
change(#2)

TD Script (Suggested Strategy)

standby [enemy.aura(Undead).exists & !self.dead]
standby [round=3]
ability(Supercharge) [round=5]
ability(Wind-Up)
change(#2)

Gersh wrote on 2017-06-16 11:13:05

My 3rd tdScript!

if [enemy(#1).active]
ability(Powerball) [enemy.round=3]
ability(Supercharge) [enemy.round=5]
ability(Powerball) [enemy.round=7]
ability(Wind-Up)
endif

Hobbyhorse wrote on 2017-06-25 09:54:48

Your suggestion would fail if Stitches Jr. only use Infected Claw and not Cleave.

if [enemy(#1).active] endif
You do not need that. It is always enemy 1.

Powerball need aura Enraged to work. You can change two lines
ability(Powerball) [enemy.round=X] where X is 3 and 7 with
--> ability(Powerball) [enemy.aura(Enraged).exists]

Supercharge need aura Wind-Up to work. You can change the line
ability(Supercharge) [enemy.round=5] with
--> ability(Supercharge) [self.aura(Wind-Up).exists]
But we do not want Supercharge if Wind-Up kill enemy pet.
I have calculated enemy.hp has to be more than 700 if Supercharge
should be the best choise. It could be wrong, but I think it is ok.
--> ability(Supercharge) [self.aura(Wind-Up).exists & enemy.hp>700]

Sometime Iron Starlet dies before the fight is done, in that case we need to change pet.
change(#2)
We put that line last.

If the enemy pet has died, then we just want to pass,
but only if our selected pet is not dead.
standby [enemy.aura(Undead).exists & !self.dead]
We want that check first.

And the you end up with this TD Script

standby [enemy.aura(Undead).exists & !self.dead]
ability(Powerball) [enemy.aura(Enraged).exists]
ability(Supercharge) [self.aura(Wind-Up).exists & enemy.hp>700]
ability(Wind-Up)
change(#2)

Did this with lvl 25 Iron Starlette, and it went just smooth. Hard forgotten to take the quest though, so I repeated it with a lvl 23 Iron Starlette, and it went just as smooth. Lousy pet XP though.

Hmmm… Something different than Howlbomb here…

I'm used to use (:P) an Iron Starlette… okay, Wind-Up x2, pass, Wind-Up, Supercharge, Wind-Up – it's okay, but a bad case of crits had killed her before Damned expired…

So something to support… maybe a Nether Faerie Dragon? Nope, too much RNG to pass 5 rounds before the exchange…
It seems that I just have to accept things. :)

However, focusing on the wild and cheap pets exclusively, unlike the previous time, would be another kind of goal, wouldn't it? ^^

Aranesh

wrote on 2015-12-29 04:05:09

Never tried with a leveling pet here, didn't seem very obvious to be honest.

A P/P Iron Starlette does the trick very easily, but I wonder if a HH would manage as well, but I don't have one currently. Do you perhaps?
I'll add the strat nevertheless since it's very easy to back up with other pets. Thank you!

Avesther wrote on 2016-09-04 01:26:57

I have an HH starlette and it worked fine. I didn't need the come back to life feature of mech's.

(OP) Remte

wrote on 2016-01-13 16:14:06

Haven't noticed it before because it's missing in the changelog.

I have a P/S one and as I've said, a backup may be needed when the opponent has a sick amount of crits, but nevertheless it works most of the time.

I guess that you're right about being careful with H/H, though she has probably better chance to survive another Failsafe round.

However, today I haven't ever done it with her. If you're curious, it was a lazy variant of non-perfect Howlbomb with Brightpaw included, so nothing that would really interest you. :P

By the way, there are some new hints datamined. They're more mysterious than the previous attempts, but it only adds to it, I'd say. I think you can find them yourself as I don't want to have problems with linking. ^^

wrote on 2016-01-14 03:57:38

Some of the older changes are not in the log, because they were done before I added the log ^^
And I missed my chance yesterday to try around with Stitches! -.-
Too many work-related things going on right now. Has to wait sadly.

I saw the pictures of some of the new "spectral" pets :D Interesting !!!
Please feel free to add links though! It was a bug the last time and that one is fixed. URLs will be automatically formatted into clickable links, but there is no filtering against them :-)
