To be on the safe side, best bring another level 25 aquatic pet along. Mostly it's not needed though.

Low XP
At least one of the pets for this strategy require the use of a specific breed.
Not every strategy can be bullet proof. This is one of them. You might have to restart it, since there are some random elements that increase the risk of your pets failing. Don't blame them, please!
This strategy is using pets obtainable from the Wow Trading Card Game (TCG) or the auction house for potentially high sums of gold.
This strategy is using pets obtainable only from the WoW In-Game Shop for Battle.net Balance or real money.
You can use this strategy to carry a low level pet to give it experience.
Some instructions are more difficult to follow than others. That's exactly what you might find in this strategy!
Script
The strategy offers a Script that can be used with the Pet Battle Script addon. You can copy the script by clicking on the button to the left of the pets.
At least one pet in the strategy cannot be obtained anymore. If you have it, congrats!
A Strategy Curator found this strategy to be especially helpful and higlighted it with this tag to give it more exposure.

If by 'unlucky' you mean the 50% chance for the Emperor Crab to die on Fiero's first round, then yes, I was unlucky. My crab is a P/P breed, and did not survive Cataclysm. My third slot pet finished up just fine, but only because I had a pet with Surge in that slot. I've altered the script to include an any ability slot #1 line, on the chance you need your slot #3 pet.

I've also removed the ability restriction on the pets, allowing people to try alternatives with those particular abilities. If you're looking for a minimum power level for the first pet, or speed for the second pet, I'd suggest adding those in. :)

Ketcsont wrote on 2019-04-27 03:28:36

Emperor crab (P/P) can solo the whole fight, if you use Healing wave , too (first time after Tirs pumps up, second time after Fiero's second attack.

Ketcsont wrote on 2019-06-26 05:41:40

Chuck or Muckbreath can also solo the whole fight. Use Rip, then Blood in the Water, Surge in between.

It's not worth to use this fight for leveling a pet - my lvl 10 got 79 XP.

Remte

After the maintenance, that info is no longer needed! :) Mouseover an XP tag on any strat to see the details.

Lol, my level-24 leveler got the missing 22XP for level 25. So, why not use a leveler :)

I second you Mot; especially during pet event managing not to overkill is a task ;)

3 x striders spam pump

Eekwibble wrote on 2017-04-23 00:32:15

2 water striders (preferably P/S Eternal Striders), 1-/-2 and /-1-2.

1. Pump
2. Pump
3. Pump
4. Pump. Tirs dies
5. Pump. First strider usually dies to Cataclysm (50% hit chance, my arse...), if not, Pump again and it will die
6. Pump
7. Pump. (if the first strider got its hit in after Cataclysm missed, Fiero dies here)
8. Healing Wave
9. Pump
10. Pump. Fiero dies

I use the following from Wowhead and would love a script for it.
Viscidus Globule 2-2-2
Eternal Strider 1-2-2
any aquatic pet (speed > 282) as 3rd for back up ( rarely used)

Start with Globlue agains Tirs >
Acid Touch > Creeping Ooze > Poison Spit >
keep repeating the 3 DoT skills cycle until Tir dies >
(they have reduced durations due to cleansing raid weather)>

Fiero comes >
Acid Touch >
Creeping Ooze (if Globule is still alive)>
Globule usually dies here ... bring out Eternal Strider>
Water Jet x2 >
Fiero should die here ... if not continue to Water Jet if able or use back up pet to finish...

Remte

I can't decide exactly so I'll leave a WiP here. Up to you!

First pet:

Easy to get: Enchanted Lantern 2/2/2 (or Lunar/Festival in the event theme ^^ they are all identical).
Not so easy to get, but free and faster than Tirs (okay, H/P is equal): Nordrassil Wisp, 2/1/1

Second pet:

Zomstrok, 1/1/2

Third pet:

Just a decent backup. Not really specified, but should have more than 700 HP, be able to deal ~350 non-Mech damage at once and not to be a Mech itself.

Lantern:
A repeatable chain: Burn-Flash-Light-Burn until Lantern dies.
Wisp:
A repeatable chain: Flash-Light-Soul Ward-Pass until Wisp dies.

Zomstrok:
Carpnado, then Infected Claw spam. You may want to put a Shell Shield if area is ignited, but not sure if does it really matter.

Sometimes Zomstrok dies too early, so you need to finish with that something else. Still this shouldn't be any problem. ^^

Aranesh

wrote on 2016-01-23 21:46:59

Works really, really well, thanks! Never had a problem finishing the fight with Zomstrok in any of my tries. I used a lantern because the Wisps equal speed breed might be a problem. Not too sure, but the lanterns aren't hard to get hold of either. In a future point I'll probably add a "Any Lantern". There are just three, but they are 100% identical. Would make sense :-)

Remte

wrote on 2016-02-07 21:27:23

Maybe it's just a Lunar Festival, but today the lantern was lucky to solo it! :D

Well, Enchanted Lantern comes from a recipe. The other ones are from the current world event. But one event is enough for a character to buy a lantern. ^^

(EDIT: Am I fooled or sometimes do you move the comments when you create a new page?)

Aranesh

wrote on 2016-02-08 00:42:51

Enchanted is definitely the most preferred one for me, since it's available all year round.
Regarding the comments I usually shy away from moving any comments. Occasionally I move alternatives (like alt 1 ->3 and 3 -> 1) and then comments move along. But apart from that, nope!
