I got inspired by Slayer strategy.
Time: ~1:30 (11-12 rounds) Updated TD Script (5.04.2021). Strategy works also in rare critical cases now |

If you are CRIT with the first attack start fight over
11-12 Rounds 1:30-1:40 fight time There is also a very rare chance your Sharptalon Hatchling will take multiple crits and die before Egcellent FD's but in almost 100 fights I have only seen it 2 or 3 times. |

If Echo of the Cave crits on sandstorm or the first rampage on Egcellent, you will have to swap to Tiny snowman after rampage and swap to your levelling pet after Deep freeze, then go back on Echo and use Rampage, script takes that into account.
chance to fail if Red Wire applies flame jet and keeps critting before Tiny Snowman can Deep freeze |

This is my attempt at making a team using Direbeak Hatchling which does not rely on Darkmoon Zeplin. Not the fastest kill, and can fail due to an unlucky string of crits by the enemy or by Autumnal Sproutling. Happy leveling!
Kill time is around 2:03 ~19 turns |

You can also try my Void-Scarred Rat strategy for safe level 1 leveling if you only have a P/P Runt. You can use the P/P Kun Lai Runt, however the level pet has to be able to survive the Armageddon at the end. TD script credit to Mot.

This strategy avoids the RNG at the end with Egcellent's HP being too high to use explode.
There is a very small chance your Direbeak Hatchling will take multiple crits and die before Egcellent FD's, in that case just restart the fight. |

This strategy requires either the addon Battle Pet Battle UI Tweaks so you can see if Egcellent is going to use Feign Death or just use the TD Script which will do this automatically. If you Explode when Egcellent can use Feign Death, then this will fail.
This uses Sarahnia's Darkmoon Zeppelin strategy but starts with an Anubisath Idol instead of a Direbeak Hatchling. |

Level pet takes 387 non crit (580 crit) mech damage, can tick the mech/magic box
You can potentially swap to level pet before going back to Rotten, then using Ice Lance and this will mean your level pet will take no damage but there is the risk of Rotten dying early |

Begin with Xu-Fu. Round one, use Moonfire to counteract Gulp's Mudslide. Then use Spirit Claws until Gulp dies. When Egcellent comes in, continue Spirit Claws until Xu-Fu dies. Switch to Lost Netherpup. Bite until Egcellent uses Feign Death. When Red Wire comes in, howl, then use Darkflame. That should take a good chunk out of Red Wire. Continue using Bite until Lost Netherpup dies. Bring in Fel Pup. At this point you just spam Bite (you can use a howl if you want). Red Wire should be close to dead; he'll revive once since he's mechanical. Once he's dead, Egcellent should go down quickly. |

3 stars for working most of the times while at the same time being slower then a more reliable strategy.

Otherwise, it kept switching to Anubisath when the Kun-Lai Runt was supposed to be finishing off Red Wire. This change made it only swap if Egcellent was still alive. I'm new to writing/editing scripts, so if that could be done better somebody let me know. It worked when I tested it, though.

Sometimes, people who have only one breed of a pet, and so tested it only with that breed, will specify that breed because it's the only one they're sure of.
If you're curious, go ahead and try it with other breeds. :)

also... (just between uns) this strat is terrible. it relies heavily on not missing, not getting stunned, not rolling low and not critting too much.
Idols really are something... and don't get me started on the script
so yeah, the fattest RNG tag i can give for this strat
