I see I commented on this strat before but the quest wasn't up. Today the quest was up in EU so I tried it out.

It worked perfectly for me with an S/S NFD. (And H/B Jumper)

As I said in my earlier note, I can see how any breed of NFD slower than 290 - which is every other breed! - would run into problems, though an SDH should work ok.

I can see how RNG might affect things tho.

I do take issue with the wording of the level pet line "enter leveling pet pass and enter Mud Jumper". If you have a level 1 pet and then Pass at that point, it will take a wallop, so I think that has to mean "swap in your level pet and then immediately swap to Mud Jumper."

SB NFD makes this highly RNG and most of the time fails. Other breeds might do better. I ended up replacing leveling pet with another frog to just complete it.

From a quick look at the strat, possibly a speed issue with the NFD. If slower, Evanescence isn't much use. A H/P, P/P or P/B would be slower than the Flame, according to Wowhead.

The quest is not up in EU now for me to check, but next time, check your speeds and report if your NFD is too slow.

Worked fine for me with S/S Farie Dragon and a B/B mud jumper. Although the devouring blaze needed 1 hit from the mud jumper to die.

My H/P Faerie Dragon doesn't last much past Cackling Flame, leaving Mud Jumper to handle the last two pets. Fortunately, I was able to win by a hair. I need to look for a S/S dragon next time I'm in Feralas. Sprite Darter Hatchling sounds like a real grind.

worked exactly as described, SS NFD and BB Mud Jumper, NFD died early and just swapped in and out level pet and bubble and water jet until dead, he did heal a lot but mud jumper still had more than 60% health left

works fine for me. thing is - even if NFD dies early, continue taking in ur lvl pet and immediately swap to frog. u will find the first mob selfdestructs with low damage onto mudjumper (edited)
