My S/S Nether Faerie Dragon kept getting annihilated and I could not get Zeppelin to explode at the right time. I ended up using Darkmoon Tonk 1/2/2 as Eekwibble suggested and an H/P Nether Faerie Dragon 2/2/1 and it worked.

It can work with a S/S Sprite Darter Hatchling + Darkmoon Tonk but it is SUPER dicey. Failed the first time, second try I made it with about 15 HP left on my Sprite Darter Hatchling.

Overall none of the strategies I've attempted have anything close to a 100% success rate, I'm assuming due to the quite random nature of the enemies attack order.

I've found this strat works better with a Minefield mech in the 1st slot, preferably a power breed.
Darkmoon Tonk with Minefield<>Missile>Ion Cannon, or, preferably, Warbot with Minefield<>Missile>Launch Rocket x2, to take out Pyth and put a huge dent in Spring.

That way, you don't run the risk of Spring using Cocoon Strike to negate your mech's last hit.

After that, it should be plain sailing to Moonfire/Arcane Blast/Life Exchange your way to victory.
