Substitutes:

Note: You have selected a substitute pet.
The strategy might fail if you use it with this pet instead of the one the strategy creator intended.

The substitute finder looks for these criteria in relation to the original pet:
  • Same family
  • Has the required skills
  • Has the required stats (if specified)
  • Ignores specific breed requirements for the main pet, as breeds can be very different for substitutes

Will not work with a level pet.

Obsidian Warwhelp can work but;
will need a higher powered #2 pet (284+)

Medium XP
At least one of the pets for this strategy require the use of a specific breed.
Not every strategy can be bullet proof. This is one of them. You might have to restart it, since there are some random elements that increase the risk of your pets failing. Don't blame them, please!
This strategy is using pets obtainable from the Wow Trading Card Game (TCG) or the auction house for potentially high sums of gold.
This strategy is using pets obtainable only from the WoW In-Game Shop for Battle.net Balance or real money.
You can use this strategy to carry a low level pet to give it experience.
Some instructions are more difficult to follow than others. That's exactly what you might find in this strategy!
Script
The strategy offers a Script that can be used with the Pet Battle Script addon. You can copy the script by clicking on the button to the left of the pets.
At least one pet in the strategy cannot be obtained anymore. If you have it, congrats!
A Strategy Curator found this strategy to be especially helpful and higlighted it with this tag to give it more exposure.
In Dragonflight Patch 10.2, the ability Time Bomb has been changed. This tag is marking strategies using Time Bomb so they can be reviewed.

Down south, where it's hot and sandy, only the most resilient creatures can survive. Like moving rocks, for example.

Added names on the abilities:

use(Flame Breath:501)[round=1]
use(Roar:347)[round=5]
use(Time Bomb:602)
use(Armageddon:1025)
use(Bash:348)
use(Rampage:124)
change(next)

You need to leave spaces between the abilities and the brackets. IE:
------------
use(Flame Breath:501) [round=1]
use(Roar:347) [round=5]
use(Time Bomb:602)
use(Armageddon:1025)
use(Bash:348)
use(Rampage:124)
change(next)

You know this better then me but my scripts work without and for some silly reason I don't like the spaces except for if / endif and a few other cases :s
This is of course just a quirk of mine and I do realize that I might have to go against what "looks best" according to myself.

I have read _A LOT_ of your scripts WhyDaRumGone and of course the others that are most active here and I have seen then I go against most of you in my way of writing the script without the spaces. I have also seen one author who writes like this for example

use(Flame Breath:501) [ round=1] (so he have a space after "[" but not before "]". Then we have the classic:
use(Flame Breath:501) [ round=1 ]

So it seems there are variations on how to do it and I go against all of you and I am the rookie in the scripting business :)

I have also seen that the in-game script creator makes lots of spaces so I guess the author of the addon hates my guts :)

I do appreciate you pointing out things WhyDaRumGone and I guess you sooner then later will get some questions from me on how stuff works since I have a lot to learn.

My way of writing now is just a quirk and I like it short and concise but you might be right that I have to change my way of writing code even if it works. I'll have to consider this and make a choice.

Have a nice day and thank you for your time!

The previous version of TD scripts would not allow any additional spaces between abilities and first bracket and it's only been since the rework that it's allowed AFAIAA so I have learnt something new today :) .
How come if you like it concise you write the worded abilities name (I do too ;p )? (edited)

Because I am not as much as a pro as the rest of you on this scripting business so I wouldn't understand what abilities all the numbers represent. I do know I can just hover over them in the addon and see it but I like to have the information collected in the script. Believe it or not but sometimes I actually try to improve your guides, even if I admit that I fail 99% of the time. So while I already am adding a new strategy I add the name of the ability and then I post in in the thread so maybe someone else don't have to redo the work I just did, if they want it the way I want. But if you creators prefer I didn't do that I will of course stop doing that. (edited)

I don't know ability numbers off by heart either (well some I do) but when I write them outside the game its easier to type a few numbers than write out a few words AND numbers (You'll get flamed if you don't put them down as number as universal). It also does make it more concise but you'll notice most of my scripts I use words too :p

Why not instead of trying to improve guides make your own? That way you'll know the joy of becoming a creator yourself :)

Baby steps ;)

Actually DragonsAfterDark also said I should make my own guides. I wrote to her about something I made and she thought it deserved to be a strategy/guide by itself.

I will make my own that I can promise. You guys are just so much more knowledgeable then I am. But we all have to start from the beginning so I guess I just have to start making them and hopefully become a Zen Master Guide in the future :)
