Unfortunately so far it's a 50% fail where Gromli is still at half health when Wicked Soul (P/S) fully dies, well before Curse of Doom falls. Still, free heals and restart in garrison make this my new preferred strat.
When it works, Wicked Soul is still on undead round in the back, but CoD ticks as lvl pet comes in. Will need to try this again in a few weeks utilizing all the alts to better see what is happening.
(I usually run them through the garrison during Darkmoon Faire week, and will pick this fight's day to move them all through.) (edited)

Did u force restart the encounter or did all your pets die? If the later was there crits?

Looked like RNG crits, because when it worked for me it would have even worked without bringing level pet in, due to Wicked Soul dying on death round in back at the same time as CoD fell. So, even then, RNG crits based on anticipated strat.
Didn't have trouble yet with CoD not finishing, if it could get cast on him at all/land in time. I get a better overall view when I have more time to get all alts on a fight. Some chars (my main for one) seem to be wild RNG magnets.

I have run this multiple times and not had issues but most complicated strats have an inherant failure rate with several crits.
Now I take it you do it manually as in my script I haven't allowed for Wicked Soul dying without bring in level pet.
I would allow for that these days but I wasn't as experienced back then. Once the sim is fixed I'll continue to have a look at the issue but I am over 50 wins without a failure so I suspect you got really unlucky AND with my tin foil hat on I suspect after a reset you got the exact same run.

What this does is passes. NOW if you are in a situation where both carry pets are dead and your level pet is in, COD isn't up or you dont have enough damage; I suggest to use an attack that you manual pick as you might still be able to win but selecting a generic attack might not work depending on what your level pet is :p
What you've done is basically just "do whatever first move the level pet has" which may or may not work. I'll leave it up to the poeple to decide if they want it in there so thank you for the suggestion :)
