*Of course* this time my Gnome was stunned, of course he died too early -- hence the Tonk came into the Honky's failsafe… IT WAS STUNNED TOO. :P
Only one round was missing to win because of banana end tick triggering the failsafe on the remaining 22 HP.

Nota bene the second stun meant that my Tonk was resilient. WTB a pet being both a hard-hitter and a self-destructor! ;)

Mechanical scorpid with wind up blinding poison black claw worked really well. Pop out a turret on mechanognomes last round then black claw on scorpids first round.

If you don't have Darkmoon Tonk yet, use the Menagerie Custodian, a little easier to get and has both Shock and Awe + Ion Cannon to take care of that pesky monkey :)

I love this strategy but I would add that it works just fine for Level 1+ pets. Fezwick uses Clobber on the first round, which stuns but does no damage. None of Jeremy Feasel's pets have a group damage attack so there is no chance that the Level 1 battle pet will be killed in the back row. My suggestion is to change the Level 5+ Pet requirement to Level 1+ Pet.

All went well even despite some crits, though I had a bit of luck with only one case of Focused Beams.
Didn't check my output, but after the repair (r8) a Missile was more convincing than another turret, though I built it anyway, hence Judgment survived that round.
Nevertheless, Gnome was able to survive Honky-Tonk to the end – the expiring speed debuff was crucial here.
