Not every strategy can be bullet proof. This is one of them. You might have to restart it, since there are some random elements that increase the risk of your pets failing. Don't blame them, please!
This strategy is using pets obtainable from the Wow Trading Card Game (TCG) or the auction house for potentially high sums of gold.
This strategy is using pets obtainable only from the WoW In-Game Shop for Battle.net Balance or real money.
Level 20+
You can use this strategy to carry a low level pet to give it experience.
Some instructions are more difficult to follow than others. That's exactly what you might find in this strategy!
Script
The strategy offers a Script that can be used with the Pet Battle Script addon. You can copy the script by clicking on the button to the left of the pets.
At least one pet in the strategy cannot be obtained anymore. If you have it, congrats!
A Strategy Curator found this strategy to be especially helpful and higlighted it with this tag to give it more exposure.
In Dragonflight Patch 10.2, the ability Time Bomb has been changed. This tag is marking strategies using Time Bomb so they can be reviewed.

Due to the severe nerf to pet XP from BfA world quests in Patch 8.1.0, it's not worth bothering having sub-25 pets in the other slots.

JoeBlow wrote on 2019-02-02 00:30:38

you can bring a leveling pet in on the rocket chicken's second move(before it) and the pet takes no damage. This enables leveling 2 pets, one in slot 2 and 1 in slot 3.

I must have the worst RNG ever. Using two level 23 rare aquatic pets in the back and running the script, they both died 4 times in a row. The fifth time I finally got it.

This strat took me 20 turns in total to finish the fight. I'd suggest a moderator adds the "long" tag to this fight.

Not Quite dead yet!
Unborn valkyr 1,2,1. infected squirrel 2,2,2. bone serpent 1,2,1.

curse of doom, haunt. bring in squirrel, fungus, stampede, corpse explode. Serpent, call darkness, bone barrage, lift-off, bone again if chicken not dead.

Parasitic Boarfly FTW, I find I can do many pet battles with this pet

MolsonofAle wrote on 2018-11-29 13:36:32

I had a level 25 Nexus Whelpling from a previous fight in the back line that didn't survive. Maybe you should add dragonkin to the pets to avoid, lol. Other than that the strat has worked fine for me but I have only used 23 and up level pets that were not beast or dragonkin.

FWIW, not even a L24 Ragepeep (Beast) could make it through this fight. :(

Telandras

wrote on 2018-11-26 20:12:07

I bet a L24 Ragepeep will make it through just fine, if you lead with him out and keep up Nature's Ward.

I'm very dissapoint how the normal explanation of a pet battle made for the Main administrator of this wonderful guide and ita users became change latelly, specially for the non computers experts, less for that can be the meaning of a 'script' for a normal player. And guys I'm old and I will no learn how to do a script, where to put the script, and how battle pushing a button that do the scrip....Enough trying to 'repair' the pet tracking addon in the line XX and copy line DD tks a guy to botter to try that addon work, because is imposible to battle blind against an opponent...but now this thing of the script, really reallu anpying. Sorry for the rant but is necesary.

You don't have to use a script at all, just follow the steps. I never use scripts, just Rematch for the team-saving functions.

Users of this website can now upload their own strategies and guides. That's why some aren't as clear as Aranesh's (the original designer) instructions were.

Tony wrote on 2018-11-04 00:13:03

The "Any Leveling Pet" is misleading, because if you are trying to level a Beast Pet, it will most likely die in the back line. My level 23 Zandalari Kneebiter didn't live to get the exp.

Remte

wrote on 2018-11-04 09:00:57

This should be a modified Rematch string which uses both slots and has approximate HP values including the families:

It seems to be safe to swap in level pet after the chicken's first attack - it's second will always self destruct without damaging your pet. This lowers the level pet requirements quite a bit.

Kalaida wrote on 2018-10-24 05:40:41

Confirmed that this works. Managed to bring a level 6 pet that survived but it had 2 hp left so maybe 8+ to be safe.

A bit disappointed with this, the script doesnt include the option to level. I struggle to write my own scripts.
