This worked brilliantly -- even though the back pets were both blue and one was a P/P tree pylhon. I usedРыбаська, Патий(same move set as Fishy) and the Изумрудный протодракончик. Repeated your Fishy strategy with Patos, which was enough to take down Direflame and start on the first back pet. The Drake was then able to finish both back pets off, but it was a close call -- I had to use Emerald Dream three times to make it through.

I don't know what's changed, but no team with the emerald whelp or variants is working anymore, Ikky dies with Direflame, and the snake (even without the super effective move against dragons) kills te whelpling

This strat does have the RNG tag on it now, and you can see older comments noting what happens when you get a blue P/P snake as a third. Those Tanaan battles always did have that bad-luck factor in the backline, and the Shattered Defenses nerf exascerbated it for this strat.

If anyone else was unlucky to have a P/P Viper in the backline making this strat not work. I hearthed to Stormwind, turned on War Mode and came back, got a different back line and beat it without any issues.

Just watch out for crits. I had 3 failures due to bad timing on crits, but I don't see a way around that on a lot of the tanaan fights.

Edit: Just restart if tree python + counterstrike. Save yourself headaches :D (edited)

4 tries and counting. Lowest Flame ever gets before it kills Icky is a little over 600 health. Strat is not reliable. Unborn is B/B, Icky can only be P/S, so it's not his breed.

Add some ability 1 spams to the Unborn Val'kyr ( since it's usually still alive) to eat up some elite buff time after Dire Flame dies, then switch to the proto for clean up and this works with a larger variety of breeds.

I actually used the strat for DarkGazer of Zandalari Anklerender, Chromius & Anubasath Idol and beat it. This was after trying the Alternate 4 Strat as I didn't have the pets leveled for any other other strats

The backline random pets/abilities can be very tricky if the snake ends up with counterstrike. It's best to restart if see that on the move list.

A good strat. The only thing I changed was after I brought in the Emerald Proto-Whelp. I used Emerald Presence first, before Emerald Dream, so i didn't die whilst I was healing up

Some days I can understand why people write comments saying a strat doesn't work. On my first two attempts with this strat, Fel Corruption crit on Ikky both times. On my third, it went fine.
