rough one. P/P anklerender barely survives 2 rounds of hunting party. once didn't even make it that far. snake is the big issue here. i actually was able to get some damage on the snake with a p/p kneebiter but it died pretty quickly. the only reason my emerald proto won was that the snake didn't do as much damage unlike every other time it smashed it. not sure if it was the snake having hiss and poison fang this time. also got some dragonkin buffsat the right time, or i think i would have lost again.

I don't know why you think this is less reliable that the other strategies. If you use a P/P Anklerender this is the most reliable strategy on this page. Here's why. This strategy is the only one here that kills Direflame before he can cast Fel Corruption a second time. That makes a lot of difference because it cuts the back line damage your pets take in half, and cuts four rounds of the duration of the buff on his enemy pets.

And with any other breed of AnkleRender, just put a second one, or a Kneebiter, in the second slot, and finish off with an Emerald Proto-Whelp (2,2,2). The first AnkleRender will leave Direflame fairly badly hurt, and the second one will finish off with a second application of Black Claw / Hunting Party.
