Substitutes:

1
1
Note: You have selected a substitute pet.
The strategy might fail if you use it with this pet instead of the one the strategy creator intended.

The substitute finder looks for these criteria in relation to the original pet:
  • Same family
  • Has the required skills
  • Has the required stats (if specified)
  • Ignores specific breed requirements for the main pet, as breeds can be very different for substitutes

1 / 3

Sometimes you'll need pet #3 just for the Undead round pass, sometimes you'll need to finish Gorgemouth off. Anything with Drain Blood will be fine in slot #3. I chose Drain Blood because it's an enemy hp % based attack, and will always deal 348 damage, which should be enough to finish Gorgemouth off no matter what breeds of Iron Starlette you use.

Video for Fight

Low XP
At least one of the pets for this strategy require the use of a specific breed.
Not every strategy can be bullet proof. This is one of them. You might have to restart it, since there are some random elements that increase the risk of your pets failing. Don't blame them, please!
This strategy is using pets obtainable from the Wow Trading Card Game (TCG) or the auction house for potentially high sums of gold.
This strategy is using pets obtainable only from the WoW In-Game Shop for Battle.net Balance or real money.
You can use this strategy to carry a low level pet to give it experience.
Some instructions are more difficult to follow than others. That's exactly what you might find in this strategy!
Script
The strategy offers a Script that can be used with the Pet Battle Script addon. You can copy the script by clicking on the button to the left of the pets.
At least one pet in the strategy cannot be obtained anymore. If you have it, congrats!
A Strategy Curator found this strategy to be especially helpful and higlighted it with this tag to give it more exposure.
In Dragonflight Patch 10.2, the ability Time Bomb has been changed. This tag is marking strategies using Time Bomb so they can be reviewed.

after the 2nd wind-up power ball, wind up, my iron starlette has 186 health left... gorgemouth has 781... so i hit the explode. i tried doing a power ball before the explode but i didn't get to explode... gorge mouth is still alive with 163 health left (not undead round) blood boil enters... i tried with a pass, but gorgemouth then healed himself a little ... so this time i did diseased bite because if i use the blood boil it is on cooldown for 3 rounds diseased bite put him in the undead round then one hit with the drained blood and bam! gorgemouth is down... (it is possible my iron starlettes are not the same breed you used... i think if they were faster it would work as written (mine are H/H and H/P)... i tried them reversed and got the same results both ways. i also tried with the 2nd starlette wind-up then power ball x2 wind-up and explode this put gorgemouth in to the undead round and drain blood worked. I hope this is helpful... good strat (edited)

Very nice. BTW, I have found you can use pretty much any pet for 3rd. Just needs to survive a hit of 300 or so. Thanks os much

Dean wrote on 2020-12-08 01:04:18

Does not work for me, I suspect it is dependent on what types of iron starlette you have

(OP) DragonsAfterDark

wrote on 2020-12-08 17:05:46

It's not. I have at least 4 breeds and tested various combinations. It is dependant on you having your pets at max level and rare, though.

I had my Starlettes at H/P and P/P, and an H/P Blood boil in third slot. Failed twice in a row. All level 25 and rares.

You can switch the second pet with Runeforged Servitor (2,2,2) and use wind-up, Superchage, Wind-Up, Call Lightning. the fight should be over before 3rd pet enters

Sadeeva wrote on 2020-12-08 08:08:48

I didnt have 2 Iron starlettes but using the Runeforged Servitor worked great, ty :)

A bit long winded for me sorry to say. there are quicker options - unborn valk/ikky/chrom

(OP) DragonsAfterDark

wrote on 2020-11-30 16:48:36

Your comment is a bit unnecessary for me, sorry to say. Since you used other options, there was no reason to comment here. Especially not on a 9-10 round strat, which is certainly not long-winded at all. :)

Use
Dibbler in the second slot with 1,2,1,3

Works like a charm. I was just wondering how to create a rematch string where the last pet is a pet with Drain Blood: anyone knows?

Maelchon

wrote on 2020-11-27 16:07:15

Great strat, my only offering would be to change Blood Boil to *11 and use Plagued Blood instead of passing - this gives a small heal and improves the odds that you won't need to Drain Blood

qraparta

wrote on 2020-11-27 06:19:50

Perfect, thanks

Drakkul wrote on 2020-11-24 19:08:26

Or if you dont have 2 iron starlettes just use a frostfur rat and 1 iron starlette and have a pet for clean up.
Really though 3 frost fur rats easily kill him
Darkness, Shield and then sneak attack etc (edited)

Worked like a charm the 1st try. - Very Nice Strat
brought in my Runeforged Servitor as the 3rd pet, as it has the wind-up/Supercharge combo also (edited)
