I was having the same issue with Armageddon going off during cocoon. Here are my modifications to Mutanis's strategy that took out Flicker and Sir Pounce rather quickly.

Benax

I updated the strategy, but without using Flame Breath. If you really want to use Flame Breath, it makes more sense to use Time Bomb (T3) first and then Flame Breath (T4).

Armageddon is there to help with the overall damage to the front line and backline pets of the opposing team. But in order for it to work, there are some things to look out for.

The turn by turn guide above usually doesn't work in your favor. And this fight will most likely go on longer than expected.

The opposing team's first pet has a high chance to do cocoon on the first turn. If not first, then it will the second turn. Next, this same pet will sometimes cast Dodge.. sometimes second turn, sometimes third. But if you get a cocoon and or dodge when you're suppose to cast Armageddon; it will be blocked.

You need to wait for when Cocoon and Dodge are not in the picture to get the full effect of Armageddon.

Armageddon is not so strong against Flicker that you should wait until there is a damage window. Call Blizzard and Ice Lance do more damage + Ice Lance is great against Cocoon.

Agreed (with Mutanis). I've been using this strat myself. My first thought, like you, was that it's a shame that Flicker avoids Armageddon. Then I realised it doesn't matter.

While you CAN wait for Flicker's avoidances to go on CD before Armageddon, Armageddon doesn't matter for Flicker. Waiting will work, but it's not necessary - you're just wasting rounds.

For the cocoon attack, as soon as you bring in the Dragon, drop TIME BOMB first, then Armageddon (and continue with the rest), it'll kill the first pet faster later, instead of wasting 1+ turns with your 3rd pet on the fight, eventually finishing it earlier.
I've done this fight 3x in a row here now, on alts, and I've cleared the first pet's second coccon with any of the 3rd pet's attacks (namely the Call Blizzard, so I'd just use Ice lance forward). (edited)

I couldn't work out what the Timeless Mechanical Dragonling's Armageddon was for, so I swapped the Dragonling for a levelling pet. This worked, I just have to work out when I bring the levelling pet in for some XP.

My guess is thehe Armageddon is there so you instantly kill Sir pounce with Presents and for Damage range on Mini AIrship.
Without out it, you'd likely take 2 extra moves (Without crits), so essentially it saves a turn.

I haven't tested it but what is the xp like on this strat?
