Solid strategy. It's not much xp for the pet thou. Even with Sign of the Critter week and the Daily active. My lvl 1 pet got 435xp which translated to 4 Levels.
Repeating the fight I got 507 Xp reaching lvl 6.

Worked well for me the two times I tried it. The first time was with a lvl 13, it got 281 xp with the daily quest up. The second time was with a lvl 1, without the daily quest, and it received 218 xp. I'm not sure if the quest made the difference, or the level of the pet, but there are some numbers to work with for you to decide if the pet xp is worth the time. Thank you OP for making this strat, I like having the option to use, even for so little pet xp.
