I just ran it through https://wow-petsim.com/ and that gave two losses in 1000 simulated battles. So a 99.8% success rate. I'd call those pretty good odds!

If it failed for you, and you want to say so, please include useful information like exactly what species and breeds you were using, and exactly where the battle deviated from the strat - what died when it shouldn't, or didn't die when it should, or swapped in unexpectedly, or whatever.

And it does have a script, so I don't understand what you mean by "can't be automated with a script".

I agree with Jonafun: success rate is somewhat 50% for me (a crit to Anomalus at the beginning will make the automated script fail) (edited)

There is no quits in the script (I should put some in there). Did you have the correct script and moves loaded in Rematch?

If Anom does die early, you will use flame breath to compensate. The reason I recommend the power breeds is that this will help assist with the Bassalt kills (Reckless is Variable)

Note that the sim is ~100% win rate (Well I ran it 5 times before had 1 loss so 499/500).

Edit (16/3): I have tried to mod the script further to account for most of the sim failures but if you're losing 1 in 500 runs, I'm sorry I can't be of more help. Also I haven't tested it in game (edited)

I'm not sure if Obsidian Warwhelp will work as an alternative #2 pet so have limited the power until I can get one and test it.

I tested twice with Obsidian Warwhelp.

Obsidian Warwhelp is a classic 8/8/8 B/B - 1481/276/276. Significantly less power than TMD.

Its Armageddon damages Clawz for 195 (Weak) and Murrey for 444 (Strong). Its Time Bomb did 888 to Clawz.

First time, to give myself the best chance, I used a P/P Vale Flitter for the 325 Power. Second time, I used a P/S Dusty Sporewing with 289 Power.

Murrey has 1762 HP. Warwhelp's Armageddon knocks 444 off that = 1318. Murrey also takes 4 hits of 95 from Poison Protocol = 380, leaves 938. P/S Dusty Sporewing's 289P Lightning hits for 1038 on a Beast, so all is well.

I won both tests. There may be some conditions that I didn't hang around to see that muck it up, but seems pretty safe if your Moth has enough oomph to finish what's left of Murrey in one shot.
