Thanks, I was developing a strat a week or two ago and it was identical except for this modification. I use Kuddly and similar pets in the 3rd slot, fast / hard hitting and prevents heals. Helps prevent most outliers, although, it's less common.

I felt horrible accidentally deleting it. Putting messages in from my phone is often problematic for me. I selected delete on the most recent post, my post. There were no replies to it. It did ask me to confirm that I wanted to delete all replies, I thought "sure", since there were none to that post. Hit delete and every post was gone. Yay, a learning experience.

I was looking at alternative pets that deals with a COD crit and couldn't really see many that would work as well (and aren't rare). K'uddly, Caverndark Nightmare, Feline Familiar (Pounce, CD) and Crimson Skipper etc are BIS.

A P/P Spectral Raven with vicious strike would almost work but is about 6 damage short (edited)

Old strat (and script below) used Arcane blast turn 7; this meant Greatest Foe would heal instead of getting off a dragon boosted move.
What that does is prevent the 5% chance to add a couple of seconds and a less than 1% chance this will now fail (if you get by 2x crits* in a row), though Crimson Skipper isn't effected by this and Long-Eared Owl has a little bit more health.
