My pet was put to sleep. Fight lost (because I was watching TV and just clicked "A"). And it is not fully my fault because there is no label "RNG", so I assumed 100% success.
Since this tactics has sentence "pass and repeat if your pet was put to sleep", it should have label "RNG".

This is an old one with very common pets for the time it was created. Plenty of strategies have been added later that remove the Asleep RNG. IMHO Moth Balls' chance to miss adds much more RNG than the chance for Asleep being applied.

General note: The lack of an RNG tag doesn't mean a strategy will be 100% successful. I guess only a few creators literally calculate all/very specific damage being critical and often a single crit can turn the tides, so almost everything would need that tag. Added it for this one anyways.

This strat works the best for me, with the very rare failure due to extremely bad rng (happens maybe 1/20 tries, although I use a Stormborne Whelp to clean-up). Small change to the script, I feel it unnecessary to swap Feline Familiar out after killing pet #2, just let her take the final hit (poor kitty, I know) and bring out the 3rd pet once dead. This should do the trick by changing the first line from:

change(#3) [ enemy(#3).active ]

to this:

change(#3) [ enemy(#3).active & self(#2).dead ]

If you ask me, the best way to do this fight is just 3 Nexus Whelplings (P/P of course). Arcane Storm -> Mana Surge. Only once have I had to use my third whelpling.

Unfortunately when it comes to Faryl, *all* tactics come with RNG, because of the amount of RNG involved with both the first enemy's attacks and the second enemy's tactics altogether.

This strat works EVERY time, never had a problem. Just note that you normally won't get to use Arcane Storm a second time on Turn 5 but it's perfectly fine because you don't ever need it! Simply skip ahead to swapping in your Feline Familiar and proceed from there! (edited)

This took me two tries. On my first try, for whatever reason Howl missed and Chrominius died before I could try Howl again. On both attempts, my Nexus Whelpling died before I could cast Arcane Storm a second time.

So for my second attempt, I cast Call Darkness with Feline Familiar (since Nexus Whelpling kept dying before second Arcane Storm) before doing Prowl and Onyx Bite. When Brite came out, I left Feline Familiar in and just used Onyx Bite until it died. Chrominius came out and I was able to finish off Brite with a Surge of Power.

The instructions here are pretty bad - Nexus Whelpling can easily die even if they aren't put to sleep.

5 Times in a row, my whelpling failed to survive to cast Arcane Storm at turn 5.

You can still win even if you don't follow the instructions, but they should be correct, or there should at least be a note, and they're not. (edited)

An interesting use of ability:
For the 2nd pet, i use Nether Faerie Dragon 221
When enemy 3rd pet comes in, i use Life Exchange and am able to finish the 3rd pet. Dragon will also perish leaving behind my 3rd pet un-used

Worked well for me. My whelp did not get put to sleep, but it didn't get to replace Needlenose's Toxic Gas with its Arcane Storm. My Feline Familiar was easily able to kill Needlenose, so I kept using Onyx Bite until it it died, which almost finished off the last pet, too. Then Chrominius was able to finish with Surge of Power, no need to even Howl first.
