Since BfA battles give lousy XP, and you don't have to do anything but survive, may I suggest this strategy?

Probably any pet with an ability like Shieldstorm or Refuge will work to put block on the level 1 pets so they can take a hit. Then you just hit pass a lot.
If you don't have Murky, try Frostwolf Ghostpup or Forest Sproutling. |

! Both level pets MUST be critters !
This is a modification from the Knight-Capton Murky strat, as it was pointed out that Horde can't use it. I did try with Legionnaire Murky which is the Horde equivalent but he doesn't survive without having the Dodge. This strat, using the Forest Sproutling, works well. The drawback is your leveling pets must be critters. I did not get a chance to test other breeds as I only have the H/H. I think at least some of the other breeds would work as your Sproutling doesn't have to survive the final sting from Busy B. If anyone has success with other breeds, let me know and I'll add them :) |

1-Hit with anything from leveling pet (lvl 10 took light damage)
2-Switch to Emerald Proto Whelp
Follow original system and never needed the backup pet.(Only got 209 exp for the pet with hat, so putting in another doesn't seem worthwhile to me)

Emerald Proto-Whelp will be on max health when the fight ends. Please let me know if there's a more concise way of writing the script, I'm not sure of what syntax I can use so a pet will use an ability on rounds 2, 7 and 10.

Pass > Pass > Ancient Blessing > Emerald Dream
Repeat the above moves, and then finish with Ancient Blessing
Script:
ability(Ancient Blessing:611) [round~3,9,13]
ability(Emerald Dream:598) [self.ability(Ancient Blessing:611).duration=3]

I'm a new battler. Does Emerald Presence really take precedence over Emerald Dream?? (In theory—I understand in practice it might not matter for this fight)

Just change the last line of the TD Script to standby to make the whelp pass instead of using Emerald Bite.

Some time after I made this strat I saw it was purely cooldown based, so you're right, no attacks needed.
