Substitutes:

Note: You have selected a substitute pet.
The strategy might fail if you use it with this pet instead of the one the strategy creator intended.

The substitute finder looks for these criteria in relation to the original pet:
  • Same family
  • Has the required skills
  • Has the required stats (if specified)
  • Ignores specific breed requirements for the main pet, as breeds can be very different for substitutes

Low XP
At least one of the pets for this strategy require the use of a specific breed.
Not every strategy can be bullet proof. This is one of them. You might have to restart it, since there are some random elements that increase the risk of your pets failing. Don't blame them, please!
This strategy is using pets obtainable from the Wow Trading Card Game (TCG) or the auction house for potentially high sums of gold.
This strategy is using pets obtainable only from the WoW In-Game Shop for Battle.net Balance or real money.
You can use this strategy to carry a low level pet to give it experience.
Some instructions are more difficult to follow than others. That's exactly what you might find in this strategy!
Script
The strategy offers a Script that can be used with the Pet Battle Script addon. You can copy the script by clicking on the button to the left of the pets.
At least one pet in the strategy cannot be obtained anymore. If you have it, congrats!
A Strategy Curator found this strategy to be especially helpful and higlighted it with this tag to give it more exposure.
In Dragonflight Patch 10.2, the ability Time Bomb has been changed. This tag is marking strategies using Time Bomb so they can be reviewed.

That's ok, I didn't intend to use that spell anyway.

This is much better than Ikky strategy, because that often fails.

Strat works great. With P/P Nexus Whelpling, tamer dead after last round of mana surge. Didn't need tail sweep. (edited)

Because I got a crit on the second run with the Tail Sweep, it killed Spineleaf and I couldn't check my numbers again, but my first iteration ended up with Spineleaf surviving Tail Sweep.

This might be a breed thing, my Nexus Whelp is a P/B, and it might need some crits to pull this off, where a P/P likely has no issue. That said, I just stacked Nexus Whelp with a Stormborne Whelp.

I added a script to the strat.

I'am not master, but script for this
ability(589) [round=1]
ability(489) [round=2]
ability(122) [round=5]

Thanks for the script!

In general you don't want to be round bound but use semantics and priorities. In this case, just dropping the conditions completely works as well since the first two abilities have long cooldowns. A semantic condition would be ´[ !weather(arcane stormy thing) ]` or that the health of the enemy is higher than a percentage.

Just easier:

ability(589)
ability(489)
ability(122)

With semantics (so less prone to not working once stuff changes in a future patch):

ability(589) [ !weather(I don't know the ID by heart) ]
ability(489) [ enemy.hpp > 20 ]
ability(122)

Both of course do the exact same turns, but they are more stable for people doing errors, pets dying faster or alike. :)

[ !weather(Arcane Winds:590) ]
Found it, this?
And yeah - I know that easier without [round=1] and so on.. but in strange way - script at 3 or at 4 round ( d't remember at moment ) just stops. Maybe only I have that problem? =/

Sounds like it runs into a case where no condition still applies and doesn't know what to do. If adding `quit` at the very end of the script, that would show it to you ;)
