High XP
At least one of the pets for this strategy require the use of a specific breed.
RNG
Not every strategy can be bullet proof. This is one of them. You might have to restart it, since there are some random elements that increase the risk of your pets failing. Don't blame them, please!
This strategy is using pets obtainable from the Wow Trading Card Game (TCG) or the auction house for potentially high sums of gold.
This strategy is using pets obtainable only from the WoW In-Game Shop for Battle.net Balance or real money.
Level 3+
You can use this strategy to carry a low level pet to give it experience.
Some instructions are more difficult to follow than others. That's exactly what you might find in this strategy!
Script
The strategy offers a Script that can be used with the Pet Battle Script addon. You can copy the script by clicking on the button to the left of the pets.
At least one pet in the strategy cannot be obtained anymore. If you have it, congrats!

You can use a level 1 pet on this strat, just make sure on Turn 5 to swap to Anubisath Idol and put sandstorm up and finish off Salty Bird.

Turn 1: Alpha Strike
Turn 2: Alpha Strike
Turn 3: Dodge
Turn 4: Alpha Strike
Turn 5: Swap to Anubisath Idol
Turn 6: Sandstorm
Turn 7: Deflection if whirlpool is up
Salty Bird comes in
Keep sandstorm active
Turn 1+: Crush until Salty Bird is dead
Grommet comes in
Turn 1: Swap to your Level Pet
Turn 2: Swap back to your Anubisath Idol
Turns 3+: Keep Sandstorm active and use Crush until Grommet is dead

If anybody's got a td script for this little change to allow for lvl 1 pets, would be awesome :)

I forgot to mention, if sandstorm doesn't kill Itchy, you may need to use Crush to finish it off

Here's the tdscript that will allow you to use lvl 1+ pets:

change(#3) [ enemy(#2).dead & ! self(#3).played ]
ability(Dodge:312) [ self.aura(Whirlpool:512).duration = 1 ]
change(#2) [ enemy(#1).hp<600 ]
ability(Alpha Strike:504)
ability(Sandstorm:453)
ability(Deflection:490) [self.aura(Whirlpool:512).duration = 1 ]
ability(Crush:406)

Doing this fight and three others in a row is perfect timing-wise to let the CD for the free pet-heal reset.
The suggested fights are:
Strategy=5223
Strategy=1685
Strategy=4730
Strategy=479 (this one)

did three fights, duration was 2m22s to 3m, 19-21 rounds, so kind of long. Though: the pets come out of the fight with quite some health, so this is a good Strat if you're low on bandages!

Kashi wrote on 2019-02-13 20:05:27

Not sure if anyone still cares... but as it is Battle Pet week right now I used this to level some pets - and modified the script a bit for that. The goal was to reduce the damage for the Idol so I could do as many rounds as possible without healing (Teroclaw gets low at some point but, way after 8 minutes) and also make sure the level pet gets as less damage as possible (lvl1 pets are possible, but that has a chance to fail as one cyclone might still hit full if unlucky, depending on RNG)

change(#2) [ self(#3).played ]
change(#3) [ enemy(#3).active & !self(#3).played & enemy.round>2 & weather(454).duration>2 ]
ability(312) [ self.aura(512).duration = 1 ]
change(#2) [ enemy(#1).dead ]
ability(504)
ability(490) [ enemy.aura(251).duration = 4 ]
ability(453)
ability(406)

I used a variation of this one but instead of Anubisath Idol I used my Paradox Spirit (1, 2, 2).
After Teroclaw gets the first pet, swap in Paradox Spirit. Have it cast Clean Up. It will take away Salty Bird's Cylone so you can use a level 1 level pet and it's a good flying attack. Water Jet to finish it off.

Then you swap in the level pet Grommet comes in just like you do the strategy above. Bring back Teroclaw and Dodge and Nature's Guard and you should be able to finish the last one off with Alpha Strike.

Looking at other pets with Clean-Up, Servant of Demidos might be better to use since its other attacks are also strong against flying. I will try it next time.

Edit: I switched characters and this seemed to work really well on Servant of Demidos. (1, 1, 1). Clean-Up and Soul Rush and the bird was dead.

Your strategy advice:
What I used to do requirements for Master of Magic (Deafeating 12 Master Tamers in Broken Isle with all Magic Pets).

Pet 1: Servant of Demidos (1 2 2)
Pet 2: Twilight Fiendling (1 2 2)
Pet 3: Any Magic Pet (1 1 1)

Turn 1: Soulrush
Turn 2-4: Magic Sword (until the Geyser explodes on your pet)
Turn 5: Siphon Anima (to heal back up)
Keep using Magic Sword until Itchy is Dead. Salty Bird comes in.

Same idea.. Soulrush, Siphon Anima to heal up and Magic Sword until Servant of Demidos is dead. (I killed Salty Bird before Servant of Demidos died).

I used Twilight Fiendling for Grommet, using Siphon life first and then Creepy Chomp until Grommet dies.

Anonymous wrote on 2016-11-03 13:06:19

This one seems a lot more reliable than 1/2 for a level pet just cause of the sandstorm reducing the backline damage

Justin wrote on 2016-09-24 21:32:01

I would add an addendum to Anubisath vs Grommet: you should use Deflection after Lucky Dance to avoid the potential major hits from the Punch. After that he switches to Stampede, which Sandstorm mitigates.

That's where the level pet is being swapped in. But usually it's not necessary as Anubisath should have plenty of health at that point.

Mort wrote on 2016-09-21 06:43:56

Managed to solo the whole team with a H/S Bonkers (1,2,2). I had 2 other humanoids on my team to count towards the "all humanoid" achievement, but none of them were needed in the end.

Aszun wrote on 2016-09-20 23:31:52

I used a level 10 pet and didn't die. I used a Pet Treat and the Safari Hat. Over 7000 exp put my level 10 to a level 17. Very nice!

Joe Helfrich wrote on 2016-09-20 20:46:44

I used Waterfly instead of Terrokar. Also, if you're unlucky with Alpha Strikes, Itchy may not die on schedule. Keep Waterfly in for another couple rounds to absorb the whirlpool--Dodge won't be back up in time, usually.

Lisa wrote on 2016-09-02 02:55:25

Thanks for the guides. They help a lot! My level pet died in this fight though. Probably bad RNG. Keep up the good work :)
