Any Level 1+ Pet

Quick way to level two pets at a time. They can be level 1, neither of them take damage. This gives you plenty of flexibility when it comes to what pets you want to level, and are less likely to waste potential xp on pets that are already in their 20s.

Shadowlands Update: I've updated the strategy. Something changed with prepatch and Slow Moe dies quicker than he used to. I've added a Pass in order to better line up Prowl and Feed with Snot's Dive. However, if Xu-Fu crits Slow Moe with Feed, you may be in some trouble now, as Feed may not be available again for Snot. I've updated the TD script, but I think you may need a bandage around 25% of the time now [the chance Headbutt stuns you], and there's even a slim chance for Xu-Fu to die.

[That can happen IF you crit Slow Moe with Feed, one shotting him, and then Snot rolls high with Dive and it deals a critical hit. Then you don't crit with Bite, and die one turn before Feed is available again.]

High XP
At least one of the pets for this strategy require the use of a specific breed.
Not every strategy can be bullet proof. This is one of them. You might have to restart it, since there are some random elements that increase the risk of your pets failing. Don't blame them, please!
This strategy is using pets obtainable from the Wow Trading Card Game (TCG) or the auction house for potentially high sums of gold.
This strategy is using pets obtainable only from the WoW In-Game Shop for Battle.net Balance or real money.
Level 1+
You can use this strategy to carry a low level pet to give it experience.
Some instructions are more difficult to follow than others. That's exactly what you might find in this strategy!
Script
The strategy offers a Script that can be used with the Pet Battle Script addon. You can copy the script by clicking on the button to the left of the pets.
At least one pet in the strategy cannot be obtained anymore. If you have it, congrats!
A Strategy Curator found this strategy to be especially helpful and higlighted it with this tag to give it more exposure.
In Dragonflight Patch 10.2, the ability Time Bomb has been changed. This tag is marking strategies using Time Bomb so they can be reviewed.

I have the impression that since the TWW pre patch they give a lot less in XP

I won this fight easily with the strat above using two level 1 pets, but on either side of Ban-Fu, Cub of Ban-Lu, the Monk Order Hall pet from Legion. I used Spirit Claws instead of Bite, since little Ban doesn't have Bite. I only missed once (80% hit chance with Spirit Claws), but it's the attack that does Beast damage in that slot. The order of attack was almost exactly the same, except I had to go through the Prowl-Feed-Spirit Claws twice to kill the first pet, then more a priority attack after that, but Ban-Fu made it through, and both my level 1 pets made level 9 at the end. Following the above strat was a win! (edited)

I legitimately love this strat so much. It is one of my favorites, and tbh I like doing Odrogg on repeat more than Squirt on Sign of the Critter weeks! Even with the RNG, it's a thing of beauty.

I made a slight edit to the default script which can recover a fight at the last minute in some situations generally caused by critting Rocklick with Feed or Slow Moe getting off a Stun on Xu-Fu. In those situations, on Snot the current script will do Bite, Bite, Pass, Feed on Snot. Unless one of the Bites or the Feed managed to crit, I will have to Bite again to win, then heal my pets, assuming Xu-Fu survived to Bite (which happens about 1/2 to 2/3 of the time). What I've changed below is if Snot is underwater and my Prowl buff is not up, I use Prowl. That means that if Snot crits with Dive, the next round's Ooze Touch, or the Acidic Goo DoT crits, I will guaranteed lose the match. If none of them crit though, I will have 16 ish hps left when I use my Feed. That will KO Snot and I will heal to full like the end of a usual match, and it seems to have the same 1/2 to 2/3 success rate as the old script.

You can also port there from The Hall of Chieftains inside Thunder Totem, by speaking to Bogrogg the Stonedark Emissary, if you have done the questline to make it possible. (edited)

Gratax wrote on 2021-10-17 07:26:13

FYI: Using
Safari Hat, Lesser Pet Treat and Pet Treat (85% more XP during 200%XP Week) Does not change the fact it takes 4 fights from 1-25
With all Buffs it's: 1->14->20->24->25

So if you don't have a bunch of level stones laying around, Using buffs doesn't help much

Amazing strat. Level two pets, fast, repeatable, not always requiring heals, and near to an innkeeper so you can park an alt. The only weakenss is that the WQ doesn't come up often enough! (edited)

Loving this! Pet leveling day! Bonus: Xu-Fu is one of my favorite pets :) It seems he has to be above 70% health at the start or can get killed by the first pet. But generally, he starts with more health than that and doesn't need the healing between battles. Xu-Fu is a beast! (umm... I guess he is literally a Beast LOL) (edited)

This strat is perfect. Best leveling WQ for me personally, even better when pet event is up.

If you have a good stock of bandages I'd argue this is better than Squirt simply because you don't always have to heal up AND you're doing two pets at a time and wasting less EXP.

I absolutely adore this strategy. I love Xu-Fu, feels like i'm not using him enough and this strategy makes him strong as heck! + levelling two pets at once is just beautiful.

Wow what a great strat! It's definitely my new favorite. Not only do you get to xp up 2 pets at the same time, but you rarely need to heal Xufu :D and by the time you do find yourself in need of a heal, chances are the "heal pets" ability has already come of cd, so there is not really a need for big amounts of bandages. The only thing that keeps this strategy from being flawless, is the fact that it can sometimes fail, but very rarely (do have a couple bandages with you just in case). Overall, who needs Squirt anyway?! :D

On fights where you get stunned and have the extra round, instead of Turn 4 Feed on Snot then Bite, I change it to Prowl and then Feed to fix the bandage problem.

This is amazing. I've done like 20 fights so far and havent had to bandage once due to lucky crits after the stun. For anyone curious, it takes 4 fights to level 2 pets during the bonus week with a safari hat, or either of the pet treats. Even if u use all 3, still takes 4 fights
