Nice strategy! I put a Level Pet on Spot 1 and switched it out immediately to follow your strategy. It worked as a charm. The Level Pet didn't get any damage and got all the XP. (@The 20y anniversary in Tanaris) (edited)

So I tested this today and you will not get level pet xp unless you pass turn 1

You're right, I tried it today and first it got nothing. And doing the fight a second time my lvl pet did one attack in Round 1 and after that it got xp . but also the second pet did not survive and my thirds pet had to finish the fight

This is so weird. I logged in and I couldn't find my saved team and script for this in my Rematch. It's like it was wiped away. I guess they changed that aspect of pets, requiring them to stay on the field for a turn, instead of just being on the field at some point during the battle? I will try to investigate this at some point. A bit rusty on writing scripts since I haven't played much WoW in the last 2 years, but here is a revised TD script that will pass turn one. Not sure if a level 1 pet will survive a round 1 attack, but I had some battles in the last week where my leveling pet died and still got experience, so that's new/a change from what it used to be as well - not sure when that change was implemented! Thank you for checking my work!
