You can technically use a #3 pet with the final power of > 291 (Opening up HP / PS Inland Vroaker) but would require Crimson Spore #1 pet (Or some other combos might work but essentially you need more upfront damage)

You sure you have the correct enemy? Were you using a Green Rotten? I've tested this multiple times without issue, also Sim show it at 100% therefore I need to confirm how exactly it failed for you... details please :)

Were you using a Green Rotten?

The robot shouldn't be getting off the heal due to the stun, so while a Green might not be able to get the kill, not sure why it's healing for you. (edited)
