Won battles with both a PS and SS Snake. I needed first hit on several rounds, so I would not recommend any snake that is lower than speed 267. Make sure your 3rd pet abilities is not weak against Flyers....just in case you need it.

I am still annoyed this fight received no tuning, especially given the combination of abilities + stats, but such is pet battling. Pet Sim has this new comp at ~ 88 % success rate.

Change Scratch to Devour & if you miss on swoggy, may as well reset this fight. Silithid Hatchling can easily get you to the moth by itself with this method. Any 2nd/3rd for backup to finish the moth off will work as well.

This strat only worked for me if I kept my first pet in until it died. Doing that got me to the opponents third pet and I got lucky on the first hit with my calf on a headbutt stunning the moth

this strategy works - if you don't have very bad rng, i've tried like 15 times until it finally worked
