Substitutes:

Note: You have selected a substitute pet.
The strategy might fail if you use it with this pet instead of the one the strategy creator intended.

The substitute finder looks for these criteria in relation to the original pet:
  • Same family
  • Has the required skills
  • Has the required stats (if specified)
  • Ignores specific breed requirements for the main pet, as breeds can be very different for substitutes

1 / 3

Low XP
At least one of the pets for this strategy require the use of a specific breed.
Not every strategy can be bullet proof. This is one of them. You might have to restart it, since there are some random elements that increase the risk of your pets failing. Don't blame them, please!
This strategy is using pets obtainable from the Wow Trading Card Game (TCG) or the auction house for potentially high sums of gold.
This strategy is using pets obtainable only from the WoW In-Game Shop for Battle.net Balance or real money.
You can use this strategy to carry a low level pet to give it experience.
Some instructions are more difficult to follow than others. That's exactly what you might find in this strategy!
Script
The strategy offers a Script that can be used with the Pet Battle Script addon. You can copy the script by clicking on the button to the left of the pets.
At least one pet in the strategy cannot be obtained anymore. If you have it, congrats!
A Strategy Curator found this strategy to be especially helpful and higlighted it with this tag to give it more exposure.
In Dragonflight Patch 10.2, the ability Time Bomb has been changed. This tag is marking strategies using Time Bomb so they can be reviewed.

Because of multiple observations that the OP's script did not work, I replaced it with a new one.

On that note, I'm not sure the Nexus Whelpling is even necessary anymore, since the change to Jammer. For me, he died when Curse of Doom went off.

Just use Iron Starlet. Wind-up Supercharge, Wind-up. Windup, Wind-up dead

If you want a level pet just put it first not sure of minimum level.

An Iron Starlette strat existed for this fight before the fight was changed in a hotfix but it was unpublished so I'm adding the script for it here:

change(#1) [!self(#1).active]
ability(Supercharge:208) [round=2]
ability(Wind-Up:459)

If you want to use a leveling pet in the first slot use this instead:

standby [round=1]
change(#1) [!self(#1).active]
ability(Supercharge:208) [self.round=3]
ability(Wind-Up:459)

not really a point to leveling, single pet battles reward very little xp.

Camlas

Hence why leveling is an option, not the default.

First, the script broke for me when ikky entered. Second, there was only the one enemy pet. I rewrote the script, this should work:

ability(Curse of Doom:218)
ability(Haunt:652)
ability(Black Claw:919) [ !enemy.aura(Black Claw:918).exists ]
ability(Flock:581)
ability(Mana Surge:489)
change(#2)

Thanks, this worked a treat. Strategy actually works really well but OP needs to update the main script with this one.

Since it's now a solo fight, I tried with a Zandalari team. Zandalari Kneebiter and Anklerender finished him off quickly, didn't use third pet. Black Claw, Hunting Party, Leap. 2nd pet gets switched in, repeat same lineup (Black Claw, Hunting Party, Leap.) I had P/P pets for both Zandalari, but it worked so well, I'm guessing almost any breed will do.

Jammer was hotfixed this afternoon to be a solo pet. I was waiting to battle it this morning but there were a ton of people there and it kept despawning because of its link to the backline pets, then I came back about 3 hours later and there were still loads of people there but no backline pets when the fight started.

The script didn't work for me.
