Couldn't get that second Forboding Curse in but it died before the second round of Devour.
P.S. Anon, sometimes the authenticator is a pain in the ass, I've got both the physical (no battery) and have had the digital and every time I've had to switch phones I"ve had to prove it's me to be able to get into Battlenet/WoW. Haven't bothered to put it back on since I got the newest phone.

Had an amethyst shale hatchling as my 3rd pet with poison spit as a back up attack. the last scratch didnt kill bloat, so it worked out

Blazehound works well in first slot here, too, for those of us without a Molten Corgi. He is faster than Bloat and can cast Puppies of the Flame first round) to avoid the Cannon.

Hadn't bothered obtaining Core Hound Pup therefore used:

1) Molten Corgi 1-1-1
2) Ominous Flame 2-2-2
3) Electrified Razortooth 1-2-1

Turns 1-6 are the same, when Molten Corgi dies bring in the Flame:
Turn 7: Forboding Curse
Turn 8: Scorched Earth
Turn 9: Forboding Curse
Electrified Razortooth comes in:
Turn 10: Rip
Turn 11: Blood in the water
Turn 12: Devour

As @Winterfall said below, my Molten Corgi was not dying after round 6 as the strategy above suggests, so here's what worked for me - Swap in CHP on round 7, (so you skip that Scratch). Proceed with Burrow -> Howl -> Scratch as above. Then for my 3rd pet I had Electrified Razortooth (1/2/x). Rip + Blood in the Water will finish off Bloat.

Well I tried this twice and both times my Molten Corgi did not die after 2 Barks, it always had another one available. Due to this I had to use Burrow immediately after it died as the 1 shot spell was up again for Bloat.

das geschmolzene Kernhündchen ist bei mir 2x erst nach dem dritten Bellen gestorben
somit musste der Kernhundwelpe dann sofort eingraben nutzen
so weit so gut
aber heulen + kratzen haben dann nicht gereicht, ihn zu killen
habe als drittes Pet denn elektrisierten Klingenzahn mit zerfetzen + Blut im Wasser genommen, das hat dann gerade so hingehauen (da der Gegner gecrittet hat)
