I found Trunks (2/1/1) to a decent substitute for Willy: when the Herald of Light comes in, just use Ethereal to avoid the stun. Headbutt, then Smash until Trunks is down. By this time, the Sharptalon should be able to finish her off.

I had Trunks in mind if it all went haywire, though Trunks is gated behind a fairly large achievement, though probably faster obtainable than Willy. But, where Willy is cageable and therefor able to be sold on the AH or be traded, neither is possible for Trunks. Which made the difference in which I wanted to use.
The strat is tested with Willy.

I'm happy to hear however that the strat works with Trunks just as well.
