Substitutes:

1
Note: You have selected a substitute pet.
The strategy might fail if you use it with this pet instead of the one the strategy creator intended.

The substitute finder looks for these criteria in relation to the original pet:
  • Same family
  • Has the required skills
  • Has the required stats (if specified)
  • Ignores specific breed requirements for the main pet, as breeds can be very different for substitutes

S/S Foulfeather (2,2,1) is a good alternative to Ikky. I changed the Script so there won't be a conflict between Savage Talon and Peck :)

Low XP
At least one of the pets for this strategy require the use of a specific breed.
Not every strategy can be bullet proof. This is one of them. You might have to restart it, since there are some random elements that increase the risk of your pets failing. Don't blame them, please!
This strategy is using pets obtainable from the Wow Trading Card Game (TCG) or the auction house for potentially high sums of gold.
This strategy is using pets obtainable only from the WoW In-Game Shop for Battle.net Balance or real money.
You can use this strategy to carry a low level pet to give it experience.
Some instructions are more difficult to follow than others. That's exactly what you might find in this strategy!
Script
The strategy offers a Script that can be used with the Pet Battle Script addon. You can copy the script by clicking on the button to the left of the pets.
At least one pet in the strategy cannot be obtained anymore. If you have it, congrats!
A Strategy Curator found this strategy to be especially helpful and higlighted it with this tag to give it more exposure.
In Dragonflight Patch 10.2, the ability Time Bomb has been changed. This tag is marking strategies using Time Bomb so they can be reviewed.

Works great in TWW. I actually brought in a 23 level pet after Ikky died (just a quick swap in and swap out for Nexus) and Nexus still wiped slate clean with no fuss. Lvl 23 got 1680xp with no buffs. That's actually a reminder to put my hat on!

Working as of 10.2.5! 10 rounds, 1:11!

October 18 2020 - works but it was a close call. I'd suggest using up ikky instead of swapping.

The strategy never calls for a swap.

Worked fine in 9.0.1 pre-patch.

This still works in prepatch for Shadowlands

Should be top strategy. If u wanna save Ikky and the Zandalari raptors for later u can always use Foulfeather with same moves as the comment says in the guide, or Chitterspine skitterling with black claw and swarm. I used Foulfeather s/s and worked perf.

I felt more secure with Foulfeather and this worked a treat today, thank you!

If you just keep using Flock until Ikky is dead, you don;t need the third random pet. You can swap in a leveling pet between Ikky and Nexus Whelpling, and whelpling can easily clean up.

again faster and less rng than the others :) esp if you have a spare leveled ikky for other later fights!

Fantastic strategy! My Nexus Whelpling only needed one Mana Surge to finish the fight. Fast, and efficient. TD script functions perfect. Could not ask for more from this strategy.

This strategy is significantly faster, easier, and less RNG-dependent for a particularly bad luck streak (crits every turn.. at least it was at Skum and not later) than the top one, thank you so much!
