My one suggestion is to Pass on the first turn after Chrominius comes in - I have been having a problem where he doesn't die on time and it screws up the fight and I lose sometimes. If you pass then he will for sure die after Surge of Power.

This strat is interesting and – on paper – it allows for a lv-1 leveler, but, sorry, I cannot recommend this strat. I get a success rate of 2/3 (66%) — at best. (Tested through approx. 10 battles, with the provided script)

I go back to the old strat with Zep and Nether Faerie (currently https://www.wow-petguide.com/?Strategy=232). This requires ~level-5 level pet but I win with that at ~90%. (editiert)

Notes: You can ditch Howl since Lightstalker isn't going to kill Chrominius. All you want is Chrominius to eat the first Headbutt from Needleback which requires surviving the Grasp damage first. This adds some cushion in case Missile damage was low on Woodcarver causing that stage of the fight to extend into a 6th turn and a fresh Acidic Goo debuff ticking on your Darkmoon Zeppelin. Replacing Howl with a second Arcane Explosion cast will get this done. Also Moth Balls damage is highly variable because of the 50% change to miss.

Today @ step 5 Chrominius got stunned. Not sure if you should skip the AE or pass then carry on from the AE. In this script I passed that step and went on to Howl > Surge of power and it worked out. I havent done the math, but at first glance the only way is should make a differenc is if the AE is required to lower Needlebacks health so you can get to Explode range faster.

This script doesn't work if Chrominus doesn't get sleep, it got stuck in a loop of swaping in and out Chrominius.

To fix it just remove [self.round=2] and [self.round=3]. from howl and surge of power. Script will work as intended, even if Chrominus gets put to sleep.

It's true, the level pet is not being switched in. It works nevertheless because your last pet, the Darkmoon Zep, destroys itself along with the enemy. All XP then goes to the remaining pet alive - your levelling pet :-)

You don't have a 10% fail chance if you change the strat a bit.

1. Why Arcane Explode as Chrominius' first move? Quite unnecessary. Howl + Surge of Power is a 100% kill on Lightstalker. But that's not critical.

2. With Needleback, I believe you will always win if you just deploy your Decoy one round before Needleback's Headbutt comes off cooldown.

I haven't done solid numbers, but this strat, as I use it, has never failed on this fight, so the risk is far less than 10%

True, I found that as well. The problem I have with it is, that Needleback is not using his spells in a fixed rotation. That means without an addon, there is no easy way to predict the next Headbutt. And I usually do not want to rely strats on addon usage. So this is the next best thing I found.
Chrominius' Arcane Explosion is a way to reduce Needlebacks health a bit. I tried with several Arcane Explosions but then Chrominius runs the risk of getting stunned + killed too fast. It's unnecessary in most fights but it saved me in one try ^^
