Poor quality Nexus whelpling (PP) works well! (16 runds tho)
1min 58sec with Pet Battle Log Keeper.

This strategy works great for me, even with a few random crits and other unpredictable incidents it always finished flawlessly, even just using the script. 5 stars.

I just did a few battles with this. The strat is ingenious, and works fine even with Level 1s, but it's not simple to run. You really need to keep your eye on the numbers, and so it is probably not suitable for beginners wanting a very straightforward levelling win.

In one case, I had to Pass with my Whelpling to be sure not to kill Marshmallow, and in another use Metal Fist before Explode to get Marshmallow down.

The breed of Whelpling does make a difference. 608 for a P/S vs 643 on Tail Sweep, and whatever the difference would be on Arcane Storm, needs to be taken into account.

It is clever, and it does work, but requires the user not to be asleep at the wheel! I'll give it a 4, for being technically perfect but leaving a lot to the user.

tbh i totally forgot about that strat since the other one is much more popular^^ when i'm back home i'll work on that tdscript to get that 5th star of yours :P

lol I appreciate the thought, but I wouldn't be found dead in a ditch using that botting addon, so while I can see how the logic could be encoded, it wouldn't change my opinion of the basic strat.

When I saw the battle up this morning, I chose this over the other strat precisely because it had had less attention, and thought a little runthrough might be informative.

This strat and the other really are ingenious - and counterintuitive! it really felt weird running a Nexus without Mana Surge - but I'm afraid can not be made into an entirely predictable mindless set of button presses.

well unfortunately there is nothing i can do against crits, they very often have the potential to totally muddle up the strat. still i will change the script for everyone else :p

ALL strats are vulnerable to crits. Your strat here is brilliant, and I did not mean to imply that any deficiencies were your fault, and I'm sorry if I did. This battle has the extra requirement of preventing or instantly dispelling the Cyclone to allow use of a level 1 pet, which is what makes it so difficult.
