Wastewalker Shu:215J:21151IV:11271BB:ZL:P:406::10::::
For non-Remtach users: Min. health for leveler: Beast: 609, Elemental: 270, All other: 406 Tip: Use an addon that shows you when an enemy ability (for example Rupture) is off CD. Explode damage of the Iron Starlette: P/P, P/S: 560; P/B: 586; H/P: 618; H/H: 690. It should also be OK to use a different pet with Explode. Original script by Nikeisha, improved script by Knooze (see comments section). Many thanks to both! |

Based on the strategy from Emmastoned here. I was having some problems with it, so I've tweaked it until it worked flawlessly for me.
Updated TD Script. Thanks, Kylmyys#2878 (though it doesn't seem to work every time, so I'm waiting for an even better one). |

I had the perfect strat for this fight, but it didn't work anymore after Shadowlands. So frustrating! I tried the staff pick strat in here, but it turned out to be not reliable with low level leveling pets. A quick search on wowhead resulted in this perfect strat made by ddb5343. I made a TD script too. It seems to work flawlessly, and it is safe for a level 1 pet. Please let me know if you have issues with it.

Goal was to make an RNG free strat and this has been a success.
Should be 14 turns total. Leveling pet has to survive around 300 elemental damage (240 but just in case of crits 300 is safer). Thanks to DragonsAfterDark for the idea of Anomalus :D |

This is a fast and reliable strategy that allows you to safely boost any level 1 carry pet. It is a variation of the great strategy by the great SaltyGoldfish on YouTube: Wastewalker2pet Originally, he had a S/S Bound Stream in the first slot, but I find the frog to be more reliable.
NOTES: River Frog is P/S, to be faster than Pounder (280). Every once in a while, you might miss a 90% Pump due to Sandstorm, but not "usually." The original Bound Stream will always hit (because it's elemental) but due to its low health and power it doesn't always finish the job. |

I've tested this quite a few times. It hasn't failed for me, but there is always a chance of bad RNG. Make sure that your leveling pet is tough enough to take Pounder's backrow damaging abilities.
P.S. I have no idea how to write the script for this. Sorry. Feel free to comment if you want to write it for me. :) |

If your level pet is a beast it needs 300ish HP.
Restart if you miss during Sandstorm or get stunned (~40% likelihood). 1st pet can be anything that can solo kill Crusher and die to Pounder's first attack. |

They have never made a battle harder. Rarely, changes in our pets abilities may mean that strats that used to work no longer do, like the late lamented HowlBomb or the upcoming Shattered Drfenses nerf, but never the battles themselves.
But most strats are vulnerable to crits or misses, and if there is a 1 in 400 chance that a strat will fail (like two crits in a row) people for whom it normally works start to think that something has changed with the battle itself, instead of realising they they have git rare, but possible, bad RNG that was there all along.
I'm not familiar with this strat, or perhaps it was just so long ago that I don't remember it, so I can't be specific, but if you think there's something wrong with the battle, or the strat, install Pet Battle Log Keeper addon and look over the battle when done, and look for unusual crits.

You need an S/S Sprite Darter Hatchling or Nether Faerie Dragon. The SDH only comes as S/S, so that's fine, but when the Substitutes feature was introduced, no speed limit was put on the NFD, so (I imagine - haven't tried it) the Ethereal in Round 3 didn't have the intended effect for people not using S/S breeds.
This has now been fixed, and a speed limitation has been specified. Thanls, Remte!

I would like to point out that the Darkmoon Zeppelin is almost not needed. Mutilator has few hit points left when the Zep comes in for most battles. A more advantageous strategy (IMO) would be to use the Zep's Decoy ability to allow a leveling pet to come out and get the 5000+ xp.

Yeah the Dragonling is not heavily needed, but this strategy is a bit safer than swapping in a level pet. And if you use Explode in the end, the level pet will actually get the full experience :-)
