worked first time for me, even when I accidentally had a raptor without black claw, I just used exposed wound and kept on keepin on, first try but I got lucky with no stuns

Great Strategy, much better than the suggested one. I had two zandalari pets and with those i took down the first two pets and got the black claw on the last one. I imagine you can fill the last slot with any pet which can either take advantage of the black claw debuff or is strong enough to kill the toad without help.

I replaced Feline Familiar with Jingles (1-1-2) and worked better for me. Use Feathered Frenzy, then 2x Pounce to remove Dinner's bubble, then Feathered Frenzy again and Gift of Winter's Veil to finish him off.

I can confirm, works perfectly this tactic. Used first volcano against Gustau and when he was stuned, my adversary changed to remy and then, volcano finished job, Gustau ressurected and Zandalari Footslasher finished the job, even with Dinner. I didin't needed use third pet anyway.

I didn't have the Fel Pup at max. level so I opted for Jungle Grub (1, 1, 2), Xu-Fu (1, 2, 2) and Fox Kit (2, 2, 2). Credit to SybreedX from Wowhead. Worked like a charm <3

Defeated using: Molten Corgi SS 1-1-1 Super Bark > Puppies > Bark x 3 > Super Bark > Bark REMY comes in > Bark > Puppies (molten pup dies) might find better success with different rotation but basically i destroyed Gusteau with the Molten Corgi .. Then i cleaned up with Zandalari Anklerender and Zandalari Kneebiter Black Claw > Leap > Hunting Party in various combinations, won first try when I started with the Corgi Pup otherwise i lost like 10x using other strategies. However, afterwards i cried because Molten Corgi is not a beast so i failed completing the achieve. Fuck!!!

If you have a Direhorn Runt this is easy. 1-1-2. Start with shield and then alternate with the other attacks (I believe I started with hornattack, so Trihorn Charge kills it after Gustau resurrects. After just keep using your attacks until your direhorn dies. Anklerender finishes it of including the last pet. Never had the need for a third pet.

Varenne has to be the stupidest fight in Legion. No wonder he almost never shows up.

I don't think the Zandalari's breed matters much here, although only S/S outspeeds Remy. Also, you CAN win even if Frog Kiss procs once on your Familiar, but you have to get really lucky with Onyx Bite damage.

Varenne, like Aulier, is phased. Unless a toon is well into the Suramar Questline, neither Pet Tamer will appear. This is unfortunate, because instead of having 15 available tamers for the various pet families of Family Familiar, this limits the pool to 13 tamers. 12 are required for the achievement, which only leaves one to spare. Personally, I wish he was available all the time. I would be done with Family Familiar by now. As it is, I have to make more progress on the Suramar Questline on alts in order to gain access to the two phased Suramar pet tamers.

Set it on leech mode 2-2-2 and you will most likely not even need to bring in the back pets into the fight.

Didn't have a Fel Pup leveled, so after some trial and error with different pets, I finally succeeded by using a Clouded Hedgehog (1 2 1). I opened with Spiked Skin (kept it up) and used Counterstrike when available. Filled up with Bite. The Hedgehog managed to kill Gusteau before getting killed and from that point onwards I followed the strat with the Anklerender and Familiar.

This was my last fight for the Family Familiar achievement, so yayness! I tried to figure out as much as possible by myself when I felt like it, but thanks so much for making this site. It's been a great help!

I didn't happen to have a Zandalari Anklerender ready to go so I modified the fight using information in these comments. Note that this may not work for all breeds because I made it by the skin of my teeth.

Lost Netherpup --> 1, 2, 2
Molten Hatchling --> 1, 2, 2
Silithid Hatchling --> 1, 1, 1

Howl, Darkflame, and Bite until your Lost Netherpup dies. Bring in Molten Hatchling and throw up Brittle Webbing and Cauterize after you take your second hit. After Hatchling dies bring in Silithid Hatchling and begin the Stampede process on Remy's turn if he's still alive. When Dinner comes in he will use Bubble and the Stampede will instantly cancel out the Bubble and it will also make him take more damage. This will allow you to finish up with Hiss and Scratch.

It was HELLA RNG heavy, but here's my strat:

Baby Elderhorn: 1-2-2
Argi: 2-1-2
Zao, Calfling of Niuzao: 2-1-2

R1: Call Blizzard
R2: Horn Gore until your Baby Elderhorn is dead
(Bring in Argi)
R1: Horn Gore until Gusteau dies
(Gusteau resurrects)
R2: Horn Gore until he dies again
(Remy enters)
R1: Gift of the Naaru
R2: Headbutt (Remy will never be stunned due to his critter passive)
R3: Horn Gore until Argi dies
(Bring in Zao, Calfling of Niuzao)
R1: Horn Gore until Remy dies
(Dinner enters, and his first move should be Bubble)
R1: Horn Gore through Bubble
R2: Horn Gore though Bubble
R3: Dominance
R4: Headbutt
R5+: Horn Gore until Dinner is dead

Like I said, VERY RNG heavy as I did not get turned into a frog once by Dinner. Anyway, hope this helps someone else, or helps you develop your own strat!

Didn't have the Lost Netherpup or Molten Hatchling at 25, but even the Fel Pup (221) was a big improvement over the Summit Kid. Howl, Fel Immolate, Diseased Bite until dead. At that point a single leap KO'd Guesteau, letting the Anklerender fight Remy at full health instead of close to half.

Summit Kid did not work at all. I ended up using my Lost Netherpup 1,2,2

Lost Netherpup: Howl->Darkflame (if you get stunned start fight over)->Bite until pup is dead, this should kill Gusteau then he'll revive and kill your pup.

From here it should be the same strat that Xu-Fu used.

Zandalari Anklerender: Leap until Gusteau is dead. ->Remy comes in.->Black Claw->Leap->Hunting Party (both should die if not when Feline comes in Devour and finish him off).

Feline Familiar: Stoneskin (keep up)->Onyx Bite win.

I love you. This worked perfectly, only had to bring in the 3rd pet when Dinner was at 10%. The aforementioned Summit Kid is useless in this guide, Xu Fu should replace it with the Hatchling :)

summit kid didn't work out well for me either.
Used a maggot with consume, acidic goo, and burrow
Did burrow, then goo and consume each other round til burrow was available again
then back to consume and goo.
maggot died same time gusteau dead, leaving ankerender in good position to start on remy

Зуделка с высокой вероятностью станит и убивает Кошку-фамилиара. И успевает в течение раунда дважды использовать Пузырь. Заменила кошку на Крадущегося совокотёнка (2-1-1) и очень легко выиграла бой. Иглы и Пернатая ярость бьют по водной Зуделке с увеличенным уроном, и даже полученный стан не влияет на результат.

Не работает. Зуделка все-равно хоть раз, но превратит кошку в лягушку. И с помощью бабла не даст кошке убить себя. А если у Зуделки пойдут проки на обращение в лягушку, то и вовсе дело труба.

У меня и волчонок (24 лвл) стан поймал, и кошку в лягушку превратили,
тем не менее убил с первого раза. после любого контроля дается иммун на несколько ходов.
Все работает с первого пула!

Я взяла Лун-Лун 1-2-2 вместо кошки, так вот поддерживаем осторожность и даже если превращаемся, то все равно спокойно добиваем.
