Used River Calf instead of Albino River Calf with same abilities and same strategy and it worked like a charm.

A spider with Web/Leech/Strike can take down the 1st 2 pets. very good alternative for those who haven't leveled up the albino river calf or similar pets. the 2nd pet would be feline familiar (1/1/2)

NOTE - The strategy is not mine. Credits to "Sayake" Strat is as follows;

Start with the spider, keep Brittle Webbing up, Leech Life whenever it's off cd and Strike as filler.
Was able to take down both Sunny and Roots.
Enter Beaky, he'll use Lift-off and kill Spider.
Bring in Feline Familiar, use Stoneskin, Prowl and Onyx Bite until Beaky dies

Feverbite Hatchling (P/B) with backup Widow Spiderling (H/S; didn't need to use) and Feline Familiar did the trick.
I haven't got the Albino River Calf yet so this alternative was a very welcome one :)

good cheap alternative instead of needing celestial pets, ty. 2 spiders wrecked this guy pretty fast (had 3 on the team). i'd recommend changing to poison spit as it makes a good rotation and is more DPC. (abilities: 2313231323, etc etc. til everything is dead)

I used feline familiar (1,2,2) and followed this strat until the calf switch. Instead, I had XuFu with (1,2,2) and used moonlight and spirit claws to kill sunny and avoid root's blind. Xufu died. I used feline for beaky and didn't even need my third pet (Zao, just in case).

Worked for me, too.
Feline Familiar 1,2,2: Prowl, Call Darkness. 1st enemy dies. Swap to Xu-Fu.
Xu-Fu 1,2,2: Prowl, Spirit Claws. 2nd enemy dies. Spirit Claws (or Pass), Moonfire. Xu-Fu dies. Bring Moon Moon.
Moon Moon P/P 1,1,1: Howl, Moon Fang. 3rd enemy dies

This strat worked for me a lot better than any of the above, which all got hit hard by RNG issues. Thanks for the suggestion, I'd love to see it up as an Alternative

Alt 1 doesn't work, River calf gets stunned and killed before killing Roots, and thats AFTER I improved your strat by Stoneskinning before killing Sunny, since he is stunned anyway.

Didn't have Feline Familiar so I used Mudback Calf and River Calf both (2,2,2). Stoneskin then Headbutt against Sunny then spam Water Jet and use Stoneskin and Headbutt on CD til Sunny dies.

Water Jet 1st two rounds against roots then Stoneskin and Headbutt on CD til your calf dies. Switch to 2nd calf same rotation til Roots dies. I used a H/S breed on my 2nd calf and he can finish off Beaky after a couple Water Jets and/or Headbutt. No 3rd pet needed.

If you don't have an Albino River Calf leveled you can use a Flat-Tooth Calf as well. I was able to take out Roots and hit Beaky with one Waterjet before he died.

If you don't have Feline familiar levelled you can use any spider with Strike, Brittle Webbing and Leech Life. Like Sayake wrote on wowhead: Keep Brittle Webbing up, Leech Life whenever it's off cd and Strike as filler. It can take down both Sunny and Roots. Just bring in nice fillers, like XuFu with 122 (Moonfire, Prowl, Spirit Claws).

Thanks for putting this here! I don't want to lvl my Feline Familiar. I was able to kill the first two pets with just my Amethyst Spiderling. I used Flat-Tooth Calf as second pet, let Beaky get to like 180 hp let him kill my calf and brought in my lvl 23 beast, killed it with 2 attacks and got my 23 pet to 25. (I'm sure this is RGN based but I got lucky, hope this helps others!)
