At least one of the pets for this strategy require the use of a specific breed.
Not every strategy can be bullet proof. This is one of them. You might have to restart it, since there are some random elements that increase the risk of your pets failing. Don't blame them, please!
This strategy is using pets obtainable from the Wow Trading Card Game (TCG) or the auction house for potentially high sums of gold.
This strategy is using pets obtainable only from the WoW In-Game Shop for Battle.net Balance or real money.
You can use this strategy to carry a low level pet to give it experience.
Some instructions are more difficult to follow than others. That's exactly what you might find in this strategy!

The strategy offers a Script that can be used with the Pet Battle Script addon. You can copy the script by clicking on the button to the left of the pets.
At least one pet in the strategy cannot be obtained anymore. If you have it, congrats!

A much better stratagy is to use a bear with maul, and a lvl 8+ish pet
1 Howl
2-5 SoP
6-7 Howl (chro dies on next turn)
8-10 MAUL (ive never killed it here, but ive taken it to 15 hp so it probably could die)(bear dies)
level pet-anything that does direct damage

Chro same on owl, with anub grinfing the rat and zandalrai anklerended for the finish

Jay wrote on 2017-08-31 14:18:32

Can this get promoted to an actual strategy? Way more common pets

Dougula wrote on 2017-07-17 20:53:29

Worked well - (p/p) Nether Faerie Dragon ALMOST finished this one. A missile from the Tonk would've been more than enough to wrap this fight up..........but why use a mere missile when you have an Ion Cannon. Overkill????? Bah!

For the Direbeak quest: Team Rumble: Defeat 3 Pet Battle WQ with your hatchling and 2 Humanoid Pets I used:
Wretched Servant - 2/2/2
Flayer Youngling - 2/1/2
Direbeak Hatchling - 1/2/1

Steve wrote on 2017-02-10 03:24:49

I used this for the Bloodgazer Team Rumble quest. For that you have to beat a pet world quest with your bloodgazer hatchling plus 2 beasts. Wasn't easy but I found a team that worked. I did it with my hatchling plus 2 zaldalaris
Bloodgazer hatchling first with squark followed by swarm. After swarm and slicing wind. Almost finished off the first one.
Brought in zandalari kneebiter and black claw followed by hunting party. When that one died I brought in zaldalari anklerender for more hunting party which was enough to finish the fight.

Nyla wrote on 2017-01-29 16:26:26

I made this strat work for a lvl 23 pet in the third slot, but it's not foolproof. I got an extra howl in as soon as it was up each time I tried it, but Chrominius had to die immediately afterward during the first round of the critter's dmg buff to make sure the nether faerie dragon didn't have to take two hits with it. The nether faerie dragon then used moonlight in the second round of howl, and it worked like a charm when it critted. Life exchange tended to cover when it didn't. The third pet had to be tough enough to withstand several hits and do enough dmg to finish up the rat.

I was trying to lvl Withers, but it was a no go after about five attempts. I was successful with the Grotesque, but I'm not sure if it was because of the crit on Moonlight. I did get a whole level out of it, though.

grandma_moses wrote on 2016-10-15 05:51:08

Ok, so some nice comments here, but even 2 pets and 10 turns can be done better imo.

Nether Faerie Dragon H/P solos both enemies for me. Blast, Life Exchange, Moonfire.

Start with Blast, then Moonfire to change the weather, Life Exchange for a ~1000ish heal when the critter comes out, finish off with Blast.

I hust now did it again and started with Moonfire as a mistake - the dragon still solo'ed both.

I feel, in terms of efficiency, it's hard to beat a dragon strategy in which the dragon gets his dragon buff more than once. Generally speaking :))

Orpho wrote on 2016-10-26 13:41:49

This almost worked for me, but I never got the life exchange off. The Fel Pup did great against the rat, though, and took him down to 197 health with no crits (after crouching and howling). My level pet finished up - the rat had a big hit on him, but he was a magic pet so it didn't end up killing him.

Still, tricky to get this to work without specifying breeds for the dragon and family for the level pet!

Anhellika wrote on 2016-12-08 20:55:38

I must have lucked out, because I brought in the NFD and it only took 3 turns and it killed off with Moonfire, fight done. I almost wish I had a level pet on 3rd spot!

Anonymous wrote on 2016-10-05 01:28:38

Great guide as always! Thank you for the efforts!
I have a suggestion that Felpup could work as a 3rd pet for the 1st alternative.
[Bite] [Crouch] [Vengeance] Strong moves against critters.
Plus, Felpup is S/S breed making speed less of a problem.
If you are slower, and expecting a big hit. You can pop Vengeance skill. =)

Dev wrote on 2016-09-18 04:20:58

I was actually able to do it with just 2 of the pets noted above:

Started w/Chrominus - followed your order but when the rat came in I used Howl the turn before Chrominus died.

Then I brought in the Tonk, used Ion Cannon. Brings rat down to ~600hp and tonk is able to easily finish it off before he dies. Worst case you have the 3rd pet as backup.

Anonymous wrote on 2016-09-17 03:05:11

My Whelpling & Tonk can't deal with them like wrote here. I think it depends on crits. First time my Whelpling die and deal no damage to Rat, second time he hit, but rat had more HP then Ion Cannon damages, so I think Tonk must Missle for solid, anyway it has free turn.

Anonymous wrote on 2016-09-16 03:57:42

Sprite Darter Hatchling works in place of the Nether Faerie Dragon, too.
