Hi, this worked fairly well for me though I swapped Spawn of Onyxia to an P/P Emerald Proto-Whelp (1,1,2); the EPW has a heal and lift-off attack comparable to Spawn of Onyxia and the round ended comfortably with Chrominius's Bite finishing off Eggbert easily. Thanks for the strat!

Canukkistani's strat works if you drop the turn 5 arcane blast - so 3 Arcanes then Moonfire - not 4. =) Great strat though!

I used Sprite Darter Hatchling (1-2-2), Nightmare Whelpling (2-2-2) and Chromius (1-1-1). Start with SDH doing cyclone > slicing wind until Gulp is dead. Then Life exchange > cyclone > slicing wind till SD dies. Bring in Nightmare and use Tail sweep and then Eg feigns death. Use Flame Jet and Tail sweep on Red wine, both red wine and Nightmare died on armegeddon round. Bring in Chromius and use Howl and Ravage on Eg.

TIP: I used Proto-Stike before Ancient Blessing ready for Red Wire to come in and won the fight easily. I don't know if it was because my proto was slower or if Red Wire always crits with that first hit - but it worked!

Alternative 1 would not work for me so after 3 tries, I used this method. Worked beautifully.
I did use Chrominius in the 2nd slot. Emerald presence and Emerald bite with my Emerald proto-whelp (had to pass once due to stun). Killed Gulp then switched to Chrominius and killed Eggcellent with howl and surge of power. Then used Early Advantage and one tail swipe to take out Red Wire. Very good, Thank you.

I did not have a Nexus Whelpling, so i tried using a Dream Whelpling on the first slot (2-2-1). Did not notice that this combo of skill would make me unable to attack two rounds in a row (the only attack has 1 round cooldown). Still, i kept going, and surprisingly, Dream Whelpling soloed the entire fight, thought it died at the final Armageddon.

Due to crit RNG both Nex and EPW died before they could perform things described in the 4th and 11th line, but Chrominius was able to put SoP straight away. Even if it wasn't, it wouldn't be a big deal I think.

I did not have a Nexus Whelpling leveled, I used an Onyxian Whelpling (1,1,1) Breath, Lift off and then Breath killed Gulp, Then healing flame to regain health followed by Breath, breath, (this took Eggcelent to feign death) lift off againse red wire, Oxyxian died at this point and I continued as above using Emerald Proto-Whelp who finished off without needing to use Chrominus.

I apreciate that Onyxian is a past atchievement pet and can't be got any more, but, Wild Crimson Hatchling or Spawn of Onyxia should work the same as they have the same abilities.

PS, thanks for doing this great guide, without it I would not have made any where near as much progress on this atchievement.

Used an Emerald Proto Whelp P/B 1/1/1 instead of Deathtalon. Once Nexus died, breathed twice, then used Ancient Blessing when Eg used feign death, Once Red Wire comes in, use proto strike on first turn to avoide big hit, then spam breath some more. Once Wire is dead, Surge of Power, or Howl then surge of power. Good luck
