Substitutes:

Note: You have selected a substitute pet.
The strategy might fail if you use it with this pet instead of the one the strategy creator intended.

The substitute finder looks for these criteria in relation to the original pet:
  • Same family
  • Has the required skills
  • Has the required stats (if specified)
  • Ignores specific breed requirements for the main pet, as breeds can be very different for substitutes

I was searching for an easy 2-pet alternative for "Unbound Valkyr", as not everyone got it.

... and btw, I wonder when Ikky will say "hello" to the nerfbat.

Low XP
At least one of the pets for this strategy require the use of a specific breed.
Not every strategy can be bullet proof. This is one of them. You might have to restart it, since there are some random elements that increase the risk of your pets failing. Don't blame them, please!
This strategy is using pets obtainable from the Wow Trading Card Game (TCG) or the auction house for potentially high sums of gold.
This strategy is using pets obtainable only from the WoW In-Game Shop for Battle.net Balance or real money.
You can use this strategy to carry a low level pet to give it experience.
Some instructions are more difficult to follow than others. That's exactly what you might find in this strategy!
Script
The strategy offers a Script that can be used with the Pet Battle Script addon. You can copy the script by clicking on the button to the left of the pets.
At least one pet in the strategy cannot be obtained anymore. If you have it, congrats!
A Strategy Curator found this strategy to be especially helpful and higlighted it with this tag to give it more exposure.
In Dragonflight Patch 10.2, the ability Time Bomb has been changed. This tag is marking strategies using Time Bomb so they can be reviewed.

Well. You got an answer to your question now, right? :P

I'd say we definitely need a third slot pet. Something with a dragonkin attack should work just fine, but anything will likely do as long as Shattered Defenses is up from Ikky. The only way you're going to win with just Ikky and Chrominius, is if Ikky crits on one of its Flock hits.

well, i said "Gnomefeaster usually dies" ... but really anything should then be able to finish the rest ... maybe not a Singing Sunflower, who knows :p

I sadly had to use a second Ikky since my first Ikky died without killing the boss. (Tried it twice and both time it fails without a second Ikky)

Clarx, a comment about your comment: Ikky is not a problem.

The problem is the limited Boss buffs they come up with and re-use, which makes Bleed & Stampede such an easy answer, and often the only answer. In 8.2, I believe they have deliberately played into this to make the dailies easy. As in the rest of BfA, they seem to want to tempt more people into pet battles with rewards that can be achieved using just a couple of pets and with easy battles.

Look beyond your own strats, and you will see many other ways they can be done. I went in with a Sen'jin Fetish and Infected Squirrel, which do everything except one on Mechagon quite reliably and nearly all in Naz. But it's still a Bleed & Stampede strat.

If they nerf anything, it will be the more general Shattered Defenses debuff. But then they have to reckon with the bosses like these that are challenging or impossible to do without it.

Put it up - as far as I can tell it looks perfect.

Just a fun note: I had a L24 in third place. Ikky died in the same round that Gnomefeaster did, so the L24 got 614 xp without entering battle.
