Threads#11539	Credit for this goes to Molin on Wowhead for his comment under the Robert Craig link as I set this up based on his strat. This strat was also altered from the strat posted by Brandish as well as several of the commenters on that page. I was struggling with several other set ups under these alternates and this was a line up that allowed easy access pets without hitting up rares, raid bosses, and the auction house. I've tried it several times and I keep having success with it - please let me know if this is not the case for you. My Hermit Crab was an S/S while the Chitterspine Skitterling was and S/B. Rosewynde	Did this with an SB Chitterspine but might work with another, let me know pls. Credit to Brandish's and Swyftlyght's battle posts for giving me ideas in using Snarly and Chitterspine Skitterling. Used Puddle Terror instead of second Chitterspine because mine never survived the stun and damage attacks of Baeloth. Puddle Terrors heals and dive helped him avoid it more. My P/B hydraling was absolutely not up for the challenge so I got inspiration from this video (but had to improvise with Crawdad at the end.)

Wish really makes all the difference on the last opponent.

Robert Craig isn't up for me to check, but his third pet has Crystal Prison. My best guess is that you are unable to attack for a round or two, allowing the Thunderbolt cooldown to come back.

Emerald Turtle(1/1/2),Emperor Crab(2/2/2),Young Mutant Warturtle(1/2/1). RNG reliant. Tried this team 4-5 times before I got it. Most losses were within 1-200 hp left.
With ET, start with Shelll shield, powerballx1, then emeral bite and refresh shield. One powerball gets you faster than both Thrung and Wumpus. Turtle should survive to get a hit or two on Wumpus.
Crab next. Hardest part is timing whirlpool to go off at the beginning of the sleep, then surge before he can heal up too far. Healing wave when needed. Should kill Wumpus with moderate health left.
Bael comes in. Surge until crab dies(1-2x). Mutant Turtle, use smoke bomb when he tries to stun you, pumpx2, water jet if needed.

This is the first one I had trouble with -- think the breeds might make a huge difference. I used hydraling --shell, lightnin, swapped to blue carp. Used wild magic and then mana surge--this killed first guy and into 2nd. Switched back to hydraling --armor, lightning, and deep bite this guy died with other guy at like 60... Magic crawdad finished him off with surge. And then renewing mists...and surge until about 1000 hp and then wish...rinse repeat and he'll grind the last guy.

Tactic works well but i must be lucky, because my Hydraling soloed Thurgtusk and Wumpas, but died at Baeloth. Same with Spawn Of G'Nathus but Emperrors Crab finished the job.

I happened to have 2 Fen Crab P/P so I modified tactics and suggestions from several strategies and comments. Set up both Fen Crabs 1,1,2. Start with Spiny Carapace, then use Blood in the Water. Follow with Rip but use Spiny Carapace on cool down. The two Fen Crabs take out the first two pets. Then I used my Ghostshell Crab as suggested by one of the strategies here to battle the third guy. Survived with a little to spare - but I survived. I just need 5 more aquatic and 4 mech victories for my family familiar achievement.

Another lucky round for me -- somehow, the Hydraling took down both of the first two pets. Spawn of G'nathus *almost* killed Baeloth -- it took just one surge from the Emperor Crab to end the fight. While I know my fight was probably atypical, it's still an excellent strategy!

I don't understand the Thunderbold on round 2 of Baeloth. It's still on cooldown from using it on Wumpas. Then Spawn of G'nathus dies and the crab can't kill Baeloth.

My Hydraling died to Wumpas everytime, i was havig to use Deep Bite 4 times to kill Thrugtusk. So i switched to Tail Slap instead and was able to kill him faster and live through Wumpas' first hit. Then later Thunderbolt didnt come near to killing Wumpas but i was able to kill him with a couple more Swallow You Wholes and continue as instructed above. i had to start the fight over about 10 times..

Because I never levelled up my Hydraling or my Ghostshell Crab, I ended up beating him with (lol) Pengu (1-2-1), Muckbreath (1-2-2), and a Frog (1-1-1). Pengu killed the first one, and the trick was to make sure Slippery Ice is active when Wumpas enters. The stun missed me, and after Pengu died Muckbreath's Rip+Blood in the Water finished off Wumpas. The frog only used Water Jet and 1 Frog Kiss. Not a very reliable tactic, but it is possible without the mentioned pets. :)

Just submitted my strategy and I hope it will be published soon because this is not a difficult fight for aquatics. My strategy even worked with some bad RNG with stuns and crits.

I used Emperor Crab (P/P) and Ghostshell Crab to duo this trainer.

Emperor Crab kills the first two pets and Ghostshell Crab wins easily against the basilisk.

Emperor Crab (P/P, 111) was the winner here. You have to use Snap though instead of Surge or Wumpas will just outheal you. Any aquatic fillers after that should work- I used a Fen Crab (112) to finish off the basilisk.

Really can't kill Wumpas with (P/P 1/1/1) emperor crab, I've tried 4 times, you must have been really lucky. The first pet is easy and leaves the emperor crab at full health but Wumpas just heals way too much and hits hard, maybe you landed some crits.

Emperor Crab worked very well for me. I used a Bleakwater Jelly as my second and my level 1 Spawn of G'nathus. The first time I got destroyed because every single one of the stuns procced, so it's still susceptible to really bad RNG, but normally it should go fine. The second attempt I could have soloed with the crab.

I ended up having to use Emperor Crab (1,1,1), Spawn of G'nathus (1,2,1), and Purple Puffer (2,1,2 I know its a TC pet but it's what finally won the fight for me.

Crab:
Turn 1: Doesn't matter what you pick I got stunned everytime.
Turn 2: Shell Shield
Turn 3: Renewing Mists
Turn 4: Snap
Keep using Snap until renewing mists or shell shield are on cooldown. On the turn where mists comes off cooldown I was stunned again.
Rinse and repeat above until Thrugtusk is dead.

Whumpas comes in:
Follow strat above until your crab is dead.
Bring out Spawn use Xu-Fu's strat above for Whumpas (this part is pretty RNG based, if your Spawn dies I'd save time and restart the fight).

Baeloth comes in:
Followed Xu-Fu's strat above until Spawn died.
Purple Puffer:
Turn 1: Spiked Skin
Rest of fight: Surge (Baeloth should die before spiked skin needs to be reapplied),

This worked... eventually. But my Hydraling never managed to kill Wumpas, so I had to use a third pet for that. Puddle Terror and Slithershock Elver failed the task, until I went with a P/S Eternal Strider. Finished Wumpas off with Pump (can't get stunned or it's toast), and then after G'nathus died finished off Baeloth with Water Jet. It worked, but had only like 110 hp left by then, since Baeloth attacked first. So if someone fancies this strategy, I'd suggest trying a S/S Aqua Strider - it would have the benefit of going before both Wumpas and Baeloth, I think, but I'm unsure if the lack of power will make it unable to actually kill off Wumpas with one Pump.

Regardless, the base strategy above only works if you have extreme luck and get Deep Bite to crit on Wumpas (which never happened for me in about 16 attempts).

I used Land Shark x/2/2 as third. Focus is a must here, worked like a charm for me but I had luck with RNG cause I didn't get stunned nor critted a single time.

I tried this fifteen times on my 110-but not doing world quests- Warrior. Could NOT get it to work for anything. Did the other nine families and walked away. Woke up early this morning with 90 minutes left on the timer, figured I'd take my 110-does so many world quests she's close to the 500 acheivement - Mage out there to give it a few more tries, intending to switch to an easier family just for the quest reward if I couldn't get it.

Got the crit on Wumpus, first hit, no stuns, and took out all the pets with just the Hydraling and Spawn. This strat does work, it's just heavily RNG dependent.

Another tamer down....only 8 more to go!

Hello I beat wumpas with a Mudjumper , bubble used first and every time off CD, he did heal but i got him down after he first healed 1,1,1 just water jetted and mudslide and bubbled everytime off CD

I used Ghostshell Crab (2/1/1) as the last pet and just did everything else the same ignoring when my pets died. After turn 2 with Spawn of G'nathus I used Swallow You Whole until Thunderbolt was up. When your Crab comes in use Spirit Spikes then Shell Shield then Grasp spam. (I didn't switch out when I got stunned and that prevented me from getting stunned again) I may have just gotten lucky but I thought I'd throw it out there.

Finally beat him with a 1668H Ghostshell Crab (Whirlpool, Shell Shield, Bite). You want to die with a Whirlpool up on Wumpas. Switch to Hydraling and Call Lightning, Deep Bite - he may not die in the first round, so repeat with Shield, Deep Bite, and Call Lightning. It will be close but you should kill Wumpuas before you die (Baeloth will stun and one shot you). I killed Baeloth with the trusty Magical Crawdad. Keep shield up, cast Wish on the round before Crystal Prison (very important!), and use Snap as filler.

This strategy did work for me exactly as advertised, after many tries. The issue I was having: while Wumpas was healing and I was using Deep Bite repeatedly, it would have *9*hp remaining on the final turn of the heal where it was about to wake up. If it gets that final tick from the heal and wakes up, you're done for. So it comes down to crits on the deep bite. If you can kill Wumpas with that third deep bite while healing, you're all set.

I wasted a lot of time trying many times with this combo and also using multiple Spawns or Hydralings and nothing worked. My advice is make this one of the ones you don't do with aquatics.

Naja, diese Strategie ist hilfreich. Man sollte aber nicht alles zu wörtlich nehmen. Habe es auf ANhieb geschafft obwohl ich auf deutlich unter 600 gefallen bin im zweiten Zug.

Also bei mir hat alles auf Anhieb funktioniert, manchmal braucht man auch bisschen Glück, aber das diese Combo überhaupt nicht funktioniert stimmt nicht. Einfach an den Plan halten und lesen ;)

Wie soll man Donnerblitz gegen Bealoth in Runde 2 benutzen, wenn man Donnerblitz erst 2 Runden vorher gegen Wumpas genutzt hat? Der Kampf ist wirklich sehr schwer, habe es auch noch hingebogen bekommen, aber nach der Taktik kann man es jedenfalls nicht genau so spielen, weil vieles einfach nicht aufgeht.

Вместо гидреныша отлично справился Кошмар из лужи (1-2-2), Г'нус 1-2-1,а у краба 1-1-1. Тактика Кошмара: удар, нырок, струя. Первые 2 противника от стана будут чередоваться. Второй противник добивается Г'нусом, 3ий противник станит гнуса и мы меняет его на краба(щит, туман, острая клешня). После смерти краба, добить Г'нусом.
