this has been tested a dozen times 11 wins to 1 loss.
TomTom Cords to this pet is /way 72, 73 {Gráinne tested in ptr: said I just tried this on the 9.0 PTR with the expected Shadowlands changes. I did not do numbers, not least because it's awkward without the addon. However, the strat still worked fine. It did deviate in that, in Round 11, my first pet, the Snowfeather, did not die, so I got in an extra round of Falcosaur Swarm. After that, the battle finished as expected.} *should this fail for you check that you are not confusing the different Units: 6, 17, and 35... ***This is for unit 17*** a note of thanks to DragonAfterDark for checking this out and clearing this up as a few people were having difficulty with this fight. |

I was hoping to never see something like this again because we already had that on Argus' Foulclaw but at least this time the legendary pet is very slow.
Unit 17's Crouch reduces incoming damage by 50% and stacks with the 50% from Boss passive. Simple as that, the pet will be (nearly) immune for 3 rounds if you don't manage to apply debuffs that increase the damage taken %-based. On top of that, Unit 17 has Decoy X with only 3 rounds cooldown and will use that when Crouch is still up.... harsh! I decided to use Ikky because he has the stronger Black Claw compared to Foulfeather and Flock has no cooldown like Hunting Party what makes it nice to break Decoy and re-apply Shattered Defenses. Created and tested on 8.2 PTR |

Fast one :)
95% Ikky or Foulfeather would end the fight alone, if not just get ANY level 25 pet to finish him (not necessary to use Bloodgazer Hatchling) but script will work on second pet only if he has Falcosaur Swarm ability (you can modify it with the ability you use if needed). |

Tried Boneshard as the opener, it took 6 turns, but was slower timewise with so much going on.

P/P Inland Croaker is handling this by himself. If you want to use a different breed, just have a backup that is strong vs Mechanical and faster than 225.

I thought I'd finally try my hand at writing my own TD script. Please let me know how I did and if you encounter any problems.

The strat still worked fine. The first P/P Anklerender brought hum to Failsafe, after which it was almost over.

I did succeed the second time, still using the P/B. I did log the battle, and I'll go back to check it out further, and add what information I can, later.
I can confirm what DragonAfterDark says about the speed. The P/S speed should not make a difference here. But AFAICS, two different things happened under the same conditions, and unless I missed something - quite possible, ofc - that should not happen.

OK, I've gone back for a quick test.
With a P/P (without crits), Hunting Party does 3*108 + 3*406, and then Leap does 518 with Shattered Defenses still up. And that Leap brings Unit 17 to zero, and Failsafe.
With a P/B (without crits) Hunting Party does 3*97 + 3*365, and then Leap does 467 with Shattered Defenses still up. Unit 17 is still hanging on, Shattered Defenses is gone, and Decoy is about to go up, which throws the sequence off.
So I think you need a P/P in the first slot to guarantee success with this one. You might get a lucky crit, ofc, on a P/S or P/B, but that's not guaranteed.
I have saved logs if needed, but I think the conditions are easily enough reproduced.

P.S. You do realise that checking on the success rates of your strats AT THE AIRPORT is above and beyond the call of duty, I hope? :)
