Simple strategy for Elekk or level pet. Draenei Micro Defender and Crimson Spore will both die after using Explode, letting a level pet get all the XP.

Crimson Spore can be replaced with any other pet that has the Explode ability.

IMPORTANT: The first enemy pet (Tinygos) has an AoE attack that might take out low-level pets if you're extremely unlucky, but this should be extremely rare. I've yet to see it happen with level 1 carry pets after the bug report.

At least one of the pets for this strategy require the use of a specific breed.

Don't know if anyone has noticed, but for a few days now (I'm not sure when this started), level pet does not get any xp at all. It doesn't matter what level the carry pet is, or whether it enters the battle for one round, or if the explode strategy is used.

Bug? I don't know. I can't find anything about it online or in the forums.

So I just tried this, as well as Lydia. The strat still worked perfectly, and my levelling pet got 2228 XP.

Everying seems fine to me.

Still works perfectly fine for me, I've been testing with a variety of level 1 pets the last few weeks. Could you provide more details, if you remember them? What exactly went wrong, and against which enemy pet?
