Testing this strategy on Pet Sim suggests any breed and rarity seems to work with a team of 3. Even a team of 3 level 25 poor Magmashell Crawler is able to win about 97% of the time, and a team of 3 level 20 uncommon Magmashell Crawler is able to win about 93% of the time.
