Note: You have selected a substitute pet.
The strategy might fail if you use it with this pet instead of the one the strategy creator intended.

The substitute finder looks for these criteria in relation to the original pet:
 • Same family
 • Has the required skills
 • Has the required stats (if specified)
 • Ignores specific breed requirements for the main pet, as breeds can be very different for substitutes

Low XP
At least one of the pets for this strategy require the use of a specific breed.
Not every strategy can be bullet proof. This is one of them. You might have to restart it, since there are some random elements that increase the risk of your pets failing. Don't blame them, please!
This strategy is using pets obtainable from the Wow Trading Card Game (TCG) or the auction house for potentially high sums of gold.
This strategy is using pets obtainable only from the WoW In-Game Shop for Battle.net Balance or real money.
You can use this strategy to carry a low level pet to give it experience.
Some instructions are more difficult to follow than others. That's exactly what you might find in this strategy!
Script
The strategy offers a Script that can be used with the Pet Battle Script addon. You can copy the script by clicking on the button to the left of the pets.
At least one pet in the strategy cannot be obtained anymore. If you have it, congrats!

Still works as of today. First pet took care of all 3 solo.

Strat and script edited for speed and to eliminate the carry pet.

For those of you like me who do not have Crackers, a P/P version of the easily obtainable Axebeak Hatchling is identical to Crackers.

...as well as Bloodbeak and Junglebeak Hatchlings... Fruit Hunters also have the same moveset but their most powerful breed is only P/B (still will cheese this battle)

Better script:

change(next) [ self(#1).dead & !self(#3).played ]
ability(517)
ability(#2) [ !self(#1).aura(Nature's Ward:820).exists ]
ability(#3) [enemy.hp <= 618 ]
ability(#1)

It casts nocturnal strike before casting darkness, I don't think this script is better.

Pretty sure this was posted on the wrong strat. ;P

Sparklìng wrote on 2018-09-08 21:06:15

I used Jungle Beak as Crackers wasn't lvl 25, even though it was a substitute with same abilities it worked perfectly first time. May have just been luck but i'll take it. Also my lvl pet was lvl 23. Keep up the fantastic work :)

Cut a bit close, but it worked out.

Seryniti

wrote on 2018-08-25 12:52:04

Worked like a charm. The gilnean raven would have solo'd if I hadn't swapped in the level pet. Be careful the weather hasn't changed to rain before you use nocturnal strike the second time.

(OP) Eekwibble

wrote on 2018-08-26 17:03:32

Rain Dance gives your Crackers a 50% hit buff for 1 round and has the same length cd as Noc Strike, that's why it's written that way.

Glar

wrote on 2018-09-05 15:06:50

I had the exact same experience. Team is great and I had to swap to my leveling pet or the Gilnean Raven would have solo'd the fight. Still ended the battle with all three pets up. Great team xD!

Izzy wrote on 2018-08-25 03:50:52

"Bring in carry pet" should be "level pet".
Doens't work for Level 1+ Pet - the last pet of the opponent uses background damage, three hits and you pet is dead.

(OP) Eekwibble

wrote on 2018-08-25 04:10:33

Carry pet/level pet = the same thing. The requisite for said pet clearly states >300hp.

Izzy wrote on 2018-08-26 03:21:05

It had. Otherwise I woulnd't comment on it -.-
About "level" and "carry" - it should be consistend through the guides, if it normally says one thing, you should keep to one wording. Consistancy. Check on it ;)

(OP) Eekwibble

wrote on 2018-08-26 17:07:35

I'm sorry you had such bad rng. I've never had more than 1 Tidal Wave cast before Shelby died that's why I went for 300. TW hits for 120 aquatic so I thought 300 was quite liberal. I'll try it again when I can and adjust the stat req as needed. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.

Ananda wrote on 2018-09-05 05:33:26

Basically it's the 'level 1+' that needs to change because I don't think any level 1 pets have 300 health do they? The lowest I could find amongst my unlevelled pets was level 4

anon wrote on 2018-08-26 13:24:14

Strat works well--almost too well. Had to pass to let Gilnean Raven die. Good stuff.

piekid

wrote on 2018-09-01 23:49:48

Yup, Gilnean Raven soloed for me too. P/B breed.

HobMeadows wrote on 2018-08-26 14:09:59

Bloodbeak is a good alternative to Crackers.

(OP) Eekwibble

wrote on 2018-08-26 17:10:35

Indeed. I put Crackers as it only comes in P/P breed. You can get P/P's of all the others except the Fruit Hunter, but even a P/B FH would nail this.
