If you're going for the Rare version so you can keep him as a pet, make sure there are no adds anywhere. I fought him and he was Purple, but since there were no adds close by I assumed it was fine. It was not fine, and once defeated he cannot be fought again til the WQ is up fresh.

With that said, this worked great for the Epic version so I think the Rare version would be totally fine. I used Zangar Spore BB but Crimson Spore HH would've been better. Even at green quality the Crimson has more HP than the Zangar at blue quality which means more dmg, if I understand the way it works correctly.

Ikky did his last 2 rounds with only 3hp left. Still worked, didn't need 3rd pet.

You can, but I don't think the exp is worth it, and you can't really repeat the fight to farm xp (you can only fight with a WQ active)

Doesnt work at all for me. Ikky is not able to even finish round 6 and dies way before enemy is dead or even below 2000 hp :(

I had the same issue. In my case, it's because I didn't realize there are rarities to the boss. I was fighting the "Legendary" version, which is much harder than the rare version that this comp is for.
