I concur that, with the rare version, the strat here put him at 318hp. Turn 2 failed, so it may be the reason. It worked anyway, so maybe just add a turn 6+ random attack just to be thorough ? (edited)

I see, Sandstorm caused your Illuminate damage to miss and only changed the weather. Combined with low HP Explode pets it leads to more attacks/rounds later.

Replaced the Torch with Sophic Amalgamation, cause it will ignore the chance to miss. Also, set a minimum Health for the Explode pet. The script still supports the Enchanted Torch. (edited)
