Video for Fight

At least one of the pets for this strategy require the use of a specific breed.
Not every strategy can be bullet proof. This is one of them. You might have to restart it, since there are some random elements that increase the risk of your pets failing. Don't blame them, please!
This strategy is using pets obtainable from the Wow Trading Card Game (TCG) or the auction house for potentially high sums of gold.
This strategy is using pets obtainable only from the WoW In-Game Shop for Battle.net Balance or real money.
You can use this strategy to carry a low level pet to give it experience.
Some instructions are more difficult to follow than others. That's exactly what you might find in this strategy!
Script
The strategy offers a Script that can be used with the Pet Battle Script addon. You can copy the script by clicking on the button to the left of the pets.
At least one pet in the strategy cannot be obtained anymore. If you have it, congrats!

Easy/Fast! Worked as of DF 10.2.5! 3 rounds, 0:30s

For anyone wondering, I thought it might be funny to try and scrounge up whatever pets I could find for this. I used;

Iron Starlette
Iron Starlette
Dread Hatchling

Worked perfectly first try. Any pet with these abilities will probably be fine. I didn't even follow the HP / Power suggestions.

This also works with:
1. Darkmoon Zeppelin
2. Crimson Spore
3. Cursed Birman

pet one and 2 use explode and pet 3 use call darkness. Same strat just different pets

My team: Blackfuse Bombling HH, Lil Siege Tower HH, Purtrid Geist P/S, strat works perfectly

I also used Feline Familiar for the call of darkness as I didnt have any of the owls and it worked just fine

I use x2 Umbrafen Spore due to their speed. To make up for the lower Explode damage I use Crimson Bat Pup with plenty of power for Call Darkness to finish. All 3 pets are faster, so you don't have to wait for Adinakon animations (Scorched Earth will still go off cause non targeting - doesn't matter your Explode pet dead). Minor but it does make the fight faster. (edited)

I used a H/H Minfernal from Felwood, a Blackfuse Bombling, and the Dread Hatchling. Easy win thanks to the guide.

Not sure why only mechanical pets are listed, I only had Darkmoon Zepplin with enough health, I used Crimson Spore HH for the 2nd pet to explode, worked just great.

Because the site does not account for out of family pets with similar abilities.

Gráinne

wrote on 2023-04-04 03:43:07

It does now :D

(OP) DragonsAfterDark

Now people can't republish the same strat with out-of-family pets, lol. I don't think we'll bother removing older ones like that, but new ones we will. ;)

trogdor

wrote on 2023-03-27 03:42:35

Don't worry about the HP requirements on explode. This worked for me with less health, which meant less explode damage. (Rebuilt mech spider has only 1339 health, for example).

Edit: Yes, HP requirements on explode increase your damage, but you might have more damage elsewhere than the author did, so give your team a try! (edited)

Alayea

Not that DragonsAfterDark is an infallible person, but if she has restrictions in place there's good reason(s) for it.

Gráinne

wrote on 2023-03-27 10:56:13

There is good reason for it, but trogdor isn't necessatily wrong, exactly. A lesser Explode will probably work IF you compensate for it with more damage elsewhere.

This is a simple strat. Pet1 does A amount of damage, Pet2 does B damage, Pet3 does C damage.

A+B+C have to add up to at least Adinakon's HP.

But if you use a pet with a slightly higher C, you can afford to use a pet with slightly less damage for A or B.

Fledgling Warden Owl (power 325) does 776 damage with Darkness.

Nightmare Treant (power 273) does 659 damage with Darkness.

So, if you are using a Nightmare Treant in the third slot, you have no margin to use lower-health Exploders, but if you are using a Fledgling Warden Owl ot something even heftier for your Darkness, you have a margin of about 100 damage to play with.

The automatic substitution on the site doesn't get into putting restrictions on one pet depending on which of the other options you choose, so strat setters have to set restrictions that the site can communicate and will work for most people.

So yeah, if you do the math, or if you are lucky, you may get away with a combination that is outside the restrictions but works. But you are on your own with that! :D

Sorry @Alayea, I didn't mean to step on toes here. Yes, my Call Darkness it turns out was cast with more Power than DragonsAfterDark used, so I had more headroom to lose damage on the explode.

I think my point was that you have room to test your comp. Try your group before you say, "No it won't work, my Iron Starlette doesn't meet the requirements for this."
