I'm curious about the breed restriction on the first pet. Is it because of the low hp for the P/S & the combination of lower health compared to the other 275 power breed for the S/B?

Yup. This one I actually sat down and calculated the damage for each.

Normally the extra power compensates for lower health but essentially due to it being an elite extra power is only half as effective but the higher health still works. I actually found it really wierd cause I thought it would have worked just based on either.

Side note: I was quite sick when I did all my calcs so I could have easily made a mistake but at the time I ran it twice
Edit note: This is all based on Reckless Strike doing the minimum damage so the other breeds might work but would be RNG (Though not far off and with my P/S my level pet was able to finish off). (edited)

I tried with my P/S and the strat failed when Brillant Spore got the lowest possible roll on reckless strike (Took ages for it to happen hahaha), though TBH you don't need it to be much above the minimum but it would still technically be RNG with P/S :p

But I like that you get 1k xp, its a nice little boost to something I was going to do anyway :P (edited)

Because reckless Strike is a varible move, all the MC's could potentially win but I have specified breeds based on getting the lowest possible damage on that move.
